Swedish Elite League would be my guess.

Also, it'd sure be nice to have a link to the story for those of us that want to see it for ourselves, because I can't find one.

Thonrton, who's a big, somewhat physical player, is going to go play in Sweden? I don't see him doing exceptionally well there.

A bit of a coup for the Swedish team.

Duh, I even went to their website but didn't notice that. It should have tipped me off that it's in German, never mind the .ch domain.

TSN's now saying it's just a contingency plan in case the NHL doesn't play next year.

Thornton's agent says he can opt out of the Davos contract if he signs with an NHL team and the NHL's ready to go next year.

That should be the only logical explanation for signing in Europe. How much do they pay hockey players in Europe? That gets me thinking..... would he play for Canada or Davos in the Spengler Cup?

Acctually I heard that players in Europe are paid quite well. Less then the NHL but they're given a house and car, plus in Switzerland there arn't any taxes.
