-kj
Thonrton, who's a big, somewhat physical player, is going to go play in Sweden? I don't see him doing exceptionally well there.A bit of a coup for the Swedish team. Buy some t-shirts and stuff at KJ Shop! habsfannova
So, Thornton's gone to Switzerland, Rolston's gone to Min-eh-Soh-ta, and Glenn Murray's going somewhere else too. What the hell is Boston gonna do? DEAD!
TSN's now saying it's just a contingency plan in case the NHL doesn't play next year.Thornton's agent says he can opt out of the Davos contract if he signs with an NHL team and the NHL's ready to go next year. That should be the only logical explanation for signing in Europe. How much do they pay hockey players in Europe? That gets me thinking..... would he play for Canada or Davos in the Spengler Cup? I saw, I came, I left.
NJTank
So if he can return to the NHL at any time its much ado about nothing since he will more then likely return to Boston you would guess. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
Breakwood
That should be the only logical explanation for signing in Europe. How much do they pay hockey players in Europe? Acctually I heard that players in Europe are paid quite well. Less then the NHL but they're given a house and car, plus in Switzerland there arn't any taxes.
