Kess
The North American Hockey League, a United States Jr. "A" league, has unveiled its new logo. It's not up on their main page, but if you look at the "NAHL.com Network" logo on the main page, then you'll get the idea. It's the "NAHL" with the red and blue circle around it. It's okay, but I think it beats their old logo, which looked a little a somethin' a like thees. The Springfield Spirit is supposed to be changing its colors, dropping red and adding purple to the black and silver in its color scheme. Their new web site isn't up yet, but based on their season ticket brochure it will look about like this guy (c&p). I don't know how it will affect their unis. They had been going with the Buffalo Sabres template. I'd like to do some concepts when I get the time. There is definitely an L.A. Kings feel to their new color scheme. The former Wichita Falls Rustlers have new ownership and will be the Wichita Falls Wildcats. I don't think that will be their new logo - though I have no inside info - as I've read that's the logo of the Prince George Cougars of the WHL. Rick Brodsky - the new WF owner - is owner and president of PG.There may also be a new logo and name for the NAHL's Central Texas Blackhawks. The status of the franchise is up in the air. If the team plays this season it will have new ownership, who may choose a new identity for the organization to distance themselves from the past. agentrygraphics
The Youngstown Phantoms appear to be using the old Pittsburgh Phantoms RHI jersey templates...the logo vaguely resembles a closeup of the Pitt Phantoms logo too. Kess
Wow, that Spirit logo is good... I've always dug it...especially the halo on the eagle's head. I wish I knew who designed it.
-kj
And, me, I've always totally disliked it. But that's me. So, I take it they're just recolouring the old logo? gbasalmon
Is it just me or does the Texarkana Bandits logo look like Electro from Spiderman?
STL FANATIC
I'm a mix between Mockba and Nitro on the Spirit's logo. I assume the purple used to be red, and no matter what color it is, it's not balanced with the rest of the logo. It looks like a grey scale falcon or whatever with a color wordmark. Then, the Springfield is way too small if it's gonna be there at all.I'm pretty sure Mockba doesn't like it cuz he hates wordmarks in logos on jerseys, and in this case I might agree, that the bird could stand on it's own with modifications. Avenger
I really like the Tornado logo. It's simple, but highly effective.

Actually, they look like blanks based on the Philadelphia Phantoms (AHL) jerseys.
Mac the Knife
Gotta love a league that has the CFL-like situation of having two teams with the same name. Can anyone say "Ice Dogs?"

SportsFan2004
I just went to NAHL's website and I love the new logo. I especially love the logo for the Springfield Spirit. I also love the logo for the Youngstown Phantoms. Do you realize that the Youngstown Phantoms hockey club is owned by a fireworks company?
KCScout76
The Blackhawks logo was new last year (I believe) - I found it surfing around at the start of the hockey season.Does anybody have the Texarkana Bandits logo in a larger size? It's pretty cool, kinda reminds me of one of the X-men (Wolverine) Kansas City Scouts (CHL) Orr Cup Champions 2010, 2019, 2021 St. Joseph Pony Express (ULL) 2023 Champions Kansas City Cattle (CL)
Phil
Wow... this league really has the entire spectrum, from the really bad (Minnesota Blizzard, Wichita Falls Wildcats, Bismarck Bobcats) to the surprisingly quite pro (Springfield Spirit, Texas Tornado, Helena Bighorns).Anyone else find the Soo Kewadin Casino Indians name and logo choice interesting? I'm guessing the team is owned by the casino, and I'm guessing the Casino is owned by a Native-American tribe?
