B-mer Posted August 23, 2022 Share Posted August 23, 2022 With the Hurricanes news of dropping the red jersey, and the lingering nostalgic feelings from my North Stars concept, I wanted to make an updated Whalers concept. Figuring “whalers” wouldn’t really fly anymore I’d go with the Hartford Whale I suppose. No changes to logo other then colors. The uniforms are meant to simplify and update from the past. I don't think there's anything wrong with "Whalers" (in the same way the Houston Oilers returning would be fine) but since that's not reflected on the jerseys it doesn't matter. Not sure if I like the small outlines on the logo but the color balance is great. I tried this out, which is obviously more of a traditional look, so I'm not sure if I really want to go this route as i feel it loses some of the modern update feel to it.
