Sheikh Jassim drops out of the race to buy Man United

Good. They've overvalued the price by over $3 billion. It sucks they'll stay in charge but this is taking way too long. They're getting more money now than ever with Snapdragon and Adidas upping their payouts.

Which means Sir Jim will win his bid for partial ownership

Even with the drama of the Glazer's dragging out their non-sale, Manchester United still makes money on top of money. Too bad it won't be with a new owner who actual wants to fix the stadium and the teams.  One piece to note, they dropped salary by 13% due to salaries cut due to not making Champions League the year prior. It's also noted that Man City and Liverpool will be expected to beat these numbers.

And United look no better on the pitch. Newcastle exact revenge on the Red Devils 3-0 in Old Trafford in the League Cup

Speaking of domestic cups: absolutely huge upset in the DFB Pokal. Third tier Saarbruecken shock Bayern at the last minute of stoppage time.

Italy's Serie A Femenil had a team drop out after 6 games due to complaints against officiating of their games. They lost to Sampdoria on a PK that was stated by Pomigliano to be dubious at best.

Who had Chelsea taking 4 points from Spurs and Man City combined the last two matchdays? The beauty of soccer. Tottenham also had their hearts broken at Wolves losing 2-1 Saturday.

They've gone Spursy early this year. Chelsea have been good the last two weeks, but have lost games they should have been bossing.

Everton were docked 10 points and dropped into 19th place in the EPL. The one piece of good news for the Toffees is that the new clubs have been horrible at getting points so they still have a chance of getting out of the drop zone. The Premier League website has not been updated to show this yet.

UEFA will up the amount of automatic berths from 4 to 9 for the Women's Champions League starting with the 2025-2026 season. They will also have a secondary competition which will be a knockout competition with a 2 legged final. Were this in place this year, Manchester United women would have avoided playing qualifying tournaments as the second best team in England and gone straight into the group stage.
