ebod39
I started this originally in the Ugly Bengal thread, but since I got on a roll I thought I wouldjust post them all at once. Credit goes to Avenger for being the first to roll out his ideas for the Bengals a long time ago. He and I have similiar theme for what they shouldhave done, or tweaking what they have. rockchalk
Hey, once I finally got to see them, I loved 'em. Great job ebod. I've decided to give up hope for all sports teams I follow
Chazberg
They're not bad, still a little too much like the current ones for my liking....but then my ideal would be to go back to last year. Those were one of the best unis in the league.....anyway I'm not sure I'm feelin your number font, but it's better than the Bears-ripoff. charles-noerenberg.com
B-Rich
Just that slight change makes 'em look a whole lot better. Good work. It is what it is.
ebod39
thanks for all the feedback so far, I don't get much of a chance to do these as often asI'd like so it's good to hear from people when I do. I plan on tackling, no pun intended, the Billsnext. In my opinion is they just went too far with things. they added too muchall at once. this seems to be a theme recently withing sports, especially football. Teams are either way off on one end being too busy or going very retro and classic and being plain.I approached these edits from the standpoint of stripping away all the extranesoius stuffthey did and evolving what they had last year as well as the glory days with boomer and icky.I've loved the tiger stripes since the introduced them and I had a Ken Anderson jersey whenI was 11 (yes I am dating myself) and they went to Super Bowl XVI. I'm not a big fan of secondary logos on sleeves or pants, as the uniform has evolved, theres less room for this stuffon the jerseys and really adss to the clutter. the number font links to their primary typeface, not the ugly "B" the use now at the neckline. The Bengals are another example of too manygraphics that don't relate. The "B" doesn't maych the lgotype they have, the number fontdoesn't match either of those, it's annoying, there's no consistency on the visual identity. And that should coreelate to field graphics and stadium signage as wel, it should be a complete package. Mings
actually the b matches the logotype they have. the old logotype is no longer the current one. the secondary logo is just the leaping tiger. If you look at their website, and also at the endzone when they have a home game you will see the new logotype.
ebod39
my bad then...the old one is better either way.
pflava
Put block numerals on them, and those jerseys are perfect. Nice job.
