Swiss
The numbers AND the letters on that jersey are wrong-diddly-ong. It's a very cheap attempt at an imitation of an authentic jersey. The D-Backs use Matrix for both numbers and letters...this jersey uses Machine for the letters, and a generic varsity for the numbers.TCR, you don't have to go pissing your pants over the elbow of the 4...but if you don't pay attention to even the most minute of details, you're going to be the one in possession of fake memorabilia. Thanks pal for explaining him in full detail what was wrong with that Dback jersey. When I'm seeking for some jersey at eBay, I always check first the vendor's credibility and check the numbers and letters' style with my baseball books and downloaded Yahoo MLB photos. Discrim
I hate how the Red Sox batting practice unis went from navy with white bordered numbers to white navy bordered numbers...To me, it's inconsistent for the fact the the "Red Sox" script is navy w/ the white borders, and then u essentially have white numbers on the back. has anyone else noticed that the shade of blue in the cubs batting practice jerseys and hats changes all the time? I noticed the Cubs stuff. It's like one day they're the royal uniform blue color and then they'll have a navy color. i sort of made note of that. the BP jerseys and hats are navy, while the Cubs wear royal blue on the field. Why, you ask? I don't know myself, but I figure it'd be because the previous BPs looked almost EXACTLY like the alternates (different # font and a white BG on the C-bear, that's it) so a navy one would lessen the resemblance. at least that's my theory.oddly enough, the bear on the BP jersey logo remains royal blue. CubsFanBudMan
I agree with all of the Cubs complaints. I absolutely hate the modified madcub they used to put on the "throwback" jerseys -- basically the '60s version recolored with a red circle added. Fortunately, I bought the cheap, $45 version Majestic sold before realizing they should charge $110+ .. so mine had no patch. I bought one on eBay, sewed it on and I had an exact replica of the jersey I wore as a kid, which is really all I wanted anyway.I also hate the navy... it needs to go away and I don't like the walking cub on the BP cap. Not particularly fond of the alt, but they wore it so much in 2003 that I finally broke down and bought a Sosa when the price dropped so much with the trade talk. This other nitpick on one of my teams has been covered to death, but the Cowboys blues always annoyed me as a kid. I had a navy Starter parka that I wore everywhere, but half the caps that came out -- including ones made by Starter -- were royal blue. My mind is eased somewhat now because the Cowboys offer most styles -- at least the simple caps I like -- navy and royal, but still. Someday they need to sort that out. LMU
Not that I'm a Yankee fan, but what's up with this? And what's with this cheap font on Angel jerseys???
slapshot
Those might be just replicas made by Russell. I see them around the Boston area on Red Sox jerseys all the time. The numbers are almost always a cheap varsity font, and the lettering is pretty much the same thing. They're almost always one color as well. I've seen those on Red Sox home jerseys, and both home and away Yankees ones. They're probably marketed to fans who like a specific player, and want something a little better than a T-shirt with silkscreening. They're a little more expensive than t-shirts, but not nearly as expensive as an authentic. I've seen them range in price from $30-$90. LMU
I'm mainly talking about the names on the Yankee jerseys.
slapshot
Right. Just like how they're inaccurately placed on the Red Sox home jerseys, the Yankees home and away jerseys are adorned with name plates the same way. They're not quite presented as "authentic" replicas (yes, an oxymoron), but more as fashion jerseys that look like the real ones. They're actually more "fan" jerseys than true replicas.I need to find some less contradicting terms Back-to-Back Fatal Forty Champion 2015 & 2016
pcgd
Also if I'm not mistaken, those are the "See what your name looks like" things. They use the same font for all teams on that thing, even if you are ordering an authentic.I would hope if you were ordering an authentic, they'd make it the same way they make the players jerseys... FiddySicks
Not that I'm a Yankee fan, but what's up with this? And what's with this cheap font on Angel jerseys??? MLB.com sells replica and authentic personalized jerseys. they are both stiched but the replicas are all one color and have player names on the back. now the authentic jerseys are the complete real deal. you order a yankees jersey personalized you cant get a name put on the back and the numbers are the same as the ones on the real yankees jerseys On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) FiddySicks
That one of the Dbacks, I think, is inaccurate. The numbers' font isn't the same I saw in TV. Ya think?I'm not gonna piss my pants over the elbow of a 4, but that's just completely wrong. hey wait a minute.............. that elbow of a 4 thing...........that didnt have anything to do with me pointing out the elbow of the 4 on the bucs number font a few weeks ago................................did it?......... i hope not AHhhhhhhh.... ive really got to start reading all the previous posts before a say something stupid On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.)
