Idiots run on field at A's game

(:Sighs: Why do people have to make my day longer than it already is?)

Two fans at the A's Yanks game ran onto the field today only to get the smackdown from the security guards. What do these idiots think they are trying to prove? I mean, is 30 seconds of fame really worth prison time, a fine many times more than $1000, and charges pressed against you? And do you really want to get those few seconds on Sportscenter when you are just going to look like an A$$hole at the end anyway (EX: Incident in Comiskey a few years ago, Incident when guy from Astros jot jumprd on)

What's up with A's fans lately? First it was the brawl with the Texas bullpen last year, then the beer thrown at Giambi last night, and now this?? They don't deserve to have a team that's been as good as Oakland has been over the past several years. :(

Personally, i wish the A's would move to Sacramento. The only problem i can see with that one is that the Rivercats would have to move. (The cats are my favorite baseball team, Yes a AAA team is my favorite)

LOL, yeah I did a double take after I posted it and I was like "Wow, he did mention that. Silly me :P "

But really, Oakland in general has a reputation for being some crazy sumguns.

The difference between you and me is that I'm quite serious.

And as far as "Time?" goes, I've been using that in my sign off since day 1. It's my nod to a memorable youthful experience. It's become my trademark on these boards. To date, you are the very first person to ever complain about it.

I'm not complaining at all. But since you mention it, I do think it's pretty weak that you are so serious about an online message board, and equally as lame that you have to dub yourself with a silly little nickname such as "Time?".

Thanks for the extra post, pal. ^_^

Again, so serious about the internet message board that you are so proud to have posted over 500 times in two weeks?

Since you seem to be this expert about things, you should realize no one appreciate members who do nothing but insult people who prove them wrong.

jpslapshot22? Who are you???

I honestly don't care about how many posts I have on here, but for some reason i believe others, such as yourself, feel threatened by the amout I have accumulated in so little time. Bro, who the hell cares??

Also, If you instigate :censored: like your boy "Time?" did earler on, I sure as hell will crackback. I don't come here looking to start anything, but if you bring it I sure as hell will finish it.

Threatened? What are you, like 16 or something?

I only mention the your post count to show the irony of you making fun of people who take this board seriously. You must take it more seriously than those you make fun of, because your rate of posts per day suggest you spend all of your time here.

You have done little else besides insult anyone who disagrees with you. I'm not saying you necessarily instigate things, but if you don't agree with someone, your first response is "you're an idiot", "you're lame", "just bring it". Well thought out retorts. Are you watching RAW and taking notes or something?

The more people you piss off, the less likely you'll be allowed to stay here. If the mods think you're out of line (which I'm sure they will if you keep insulting people), you'll have to deal with them. Then you can bring whatever you want.

Exactly who have I insulted? "Time?" after he took a shot at me? Obviously you have yet to read the entire thread. How about doing a little research next time before you chime in and make yourself look foolish.

I'm not going to continue with this childish argument. Sorry about your thread BucFan because it was actually a good topic.

Yes, you called me childish after I pointed that most of the stuff you say is indeed pointless. Most of things I see you post are usually potshots at the New York Giants which offer nothing to the thread and have no relevance for anything.

We aren't threathened by the number of posts. It's the lack of quality in them. The mere fact that quality is greatly less than quantity shows that you don't have much to offer on here. Whenever you do throw out an insult or a potshot, and someone takes offence, you just tell them "you shouldn't be offended by what I say." Well then what's the point in saying it? Do you expect some other reaction than for someone to be offended? Do you except us to bow down to your awesome use of "your mama" in a post? And, even if you know that we may have thinner skin and hold low tolerance to insults, then why do you continue with it? You have no excuse to go above and beyond the acceptance of this community and put others down. Everyone here is an equal, except for the moderators who have shown themselves worthy and fair enough to make executive decisions regarding the conduct of this community.

Ok, a few things here:

1) Those idiots were stupid. I was at the game today, one of them looked like they had diapers on and was doing a replication of the Nike streaker commercial.

2) The first person tried to jump over the fence, but RF Eric Brynes grabbed him and tackled him down so the cops can cuff him. His next at bat he was introduced as Right Defensive Back Eric Byrnes.

3) Oakland has had a history of run-ins. A year prior to the Texas bullpen incident. Some idiot threw a cell phone at the then Rangers outfielder Carl Everett. Why? Then there was the incident with the bullpen. First off, why have seats on the field? That would eliminate the issue. Secondly, while the hubby started it, is it the fans fault for the Rangers pitcher to throw a chair into the seats and hit ironically the wife gets nailed and ends up with a bloddy nose.

4) While Oakland itself has a HORRIBLE reputation, you can thank that $#!++y fans of the "Raider Nation". There is a reason why the 49ers-Raiders preseason game is now exclusively in San Francisco. The main reason is because they can't sell the tickets in Oakland because the Coliseum fans have a reputation of beating up the fans of the opposition. Example: the father of 49ers center Jeremy Newberry was threatened while going to the bathroom. That reputation along with the NFL's blackout/sell out rule, forced the games to be in SF. Also look at what the Raider fans did after LOSING Super Bowl XXXVIII. They thrashed the city with LOCAL media shouting out scrutiny. Even the morning after, TV vans were thrashed, and those cameras in the TV vans, recorded numerous looting in Oakland businesses. The city needs to get on the team and its fans that such behavior won't be tolerated.

5) With incident's like these A's fans get that bad reputation tag. I will say that while there are idiots out there like the two today, most of them, about 95% of them aren't like this at all. And if they were, Selig would have been more adament about moving the A's to another location, or even contraction which was rumored.

5b) Some A's fans are critical because they feel they got the major league screw over. They see the city make numerous attempts to bring the Raiders back to Oakland. 1990, 1991, and then eventually 1995. When the Raiders did move back the city just gave the quick ok to tear out what was a pretty unique baseball park so it can fit 15,000 more seats (half of which have a better view of San Francisco Bay, than the field.) Meanwhile, the Warriors get their arena gutted out by the city and county for more of a basketball setting. As for the A's they see the Raiders get "their" stadium, the Warriors (who STILL haven't done diddly poo in 30 years) get a refurbished arena, and the A's are forced to sit back and look at Mt. Davis and over 15,000 seats emptied because they're football only. Then to see the cross-bay Giants, reel in the fans and revenue? Major league pissed.

6) All of you CHILL OUT! No need to take jabs. Save the jabs for "The Contender" on NBC. :P Anymore yapping, and the mods will have to take action. That means, no baiting, no trash talk, no deciding who takes the boards seriously, no figuring out this or that if it doesn't relate to the topic. Like Rizzo said in "Miracle," "LET IT GO."

Im, although casual, a fan of the Raiders so i enjoy going to games at least once a year, and ive seen some of the crap that that raiders fans try to pull especially with niners fans, but, that doesnt mean niners fans arent pretty bad themselves. Ive seen a few fights at Raiders games. A few guys get their asses kicked, yeah. But the the worst is when the Niners play the Radiers. Most of the time yes the Raiders fans start the crap but instead of ignoring it like most fans of other teams will do, Niners fans talk back and thats usually when the plop hits the fan. I went to the Bucs-Niners game in S.F two years ago thinking it would be cool, but damn i got not only ribbed, but literally had my life threatened. It was crazy. But i ignored it, no big deal really. i hung out with a guy named Big Nasty, who if you dont know is the Bucs Hall of Fame Fan. (Equivilent of the Banjo player at Niners games) Even when he was threatened he kept quiet. And that is considered a generally mild stadium, where the coliesieum is a whole different story. But you see Niners fans who start talking back because Raiders fans give them dirty looks. Yeah the Coliseum is a scary place during football season, when i went to the Bucs Raiders game i wouldnt even wear bucs gear, even Big Nasty toned it down. The reason being is that you are totally vunerable there, and when you go to a Raiders game you should know better than to be dumb enough to talk smack to Raiders fans in their house.

So all im saying is the blame for that isnt squarely on the shoulders of the Raiders.

Now A's games, not so bad. Ive never seen crap there, but its usually different fans at A's games. A lot of fans will drive weekly from as far as Los Angeles for Raiders games. A's games, not so much

Buc, in no way am I saying SF is squeaky clean. I mean just go to a Dodgers-Giants game and have opposing fans drink a bit, oh man, that's not fun. 49ers-Raiders is so intense, my goodness, I'm afraid to know what happens if they were to ever meet up for the Super Bowl. Yeah it gets intense at the 'Stick when its the Cowboys, Raiders, or Packers are in town. Who knew cheeseheads could talk so much smack? WOW!

First off let me say YES!!! Giants Dodgers games are rough, but when i go i make sure i talk as much smack as i possibly can :P . And to your second statement i dont think we have anything to worry about because the way it is setting up, i dont think that will happen for a very long time :P
