yankeeman161
All right, you've heard me talk a lot about yankees/sox, so here's something that I actually like a lot better than that, and that's Yankees/Mets in the annual Subway Series. It began yesterday at Shea with the Yanks winning 5-2 in a game that saw a lot of errors, 2 by Jeter, 2 by Kaz Matsui and 1 by Womack. The Yankees have always owned the Mets since 1997 and blew them out in the '00 World Series. So let's hear and Yankees or Mets fans thoughts on one of the best series all year. THE TOUGHEST S.O.B. IN THE CCSLC!Satan Lives! The Devil On Earth Breathes! -Jim Ross about Vince McMahon, WM 22"THAT WAS THE WORD OF YANKEEMAN"26 World Championships and still going strong. Get used to it Red Sox Nation!"Yankees win! Theeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Yankees win!" -John Sterling after every Yankee winTo Be The Yankees, You Gotta Whoooooooooo!!! beat the Yankees!!!
NJTank
Well I think we should leave the analyis to Tim McCarver who knows more baseball than anyone here as we watch the biggest give up at bat of the year by Dae Son Koo crack. Oops..Oh well at least McCarver will tell us how Koo will be shaky on the bases. Oh I guess he got that wrong too.Lol That whole AB with Koo today was hilarious. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com

jkrdevil
I'm not excitied about this series after the 2000 World Series. And now it's one of the reasons why I want inter-league play gone. The first few years were exciting because they have never played each other before and it looked like that they wouldn't play in the series. But after the Series these to series look dumb. I used to never miss a Mets-Yankees Game but now I missed last nights game. I think inter-league has become stale and a pain. And I hope they get rid of it. At Most inter-league should be done like every 5 years or something. The Met-Yankee games will be sold out like all Red Sox-Yankee games are sold out. However, there isn't that buzz anymore. At the beginning it was impossible to get tickets but now it's somewhat on the easy side. This series and inter;eague has run it's course.
NJTank
I agree its no different then a midseason Devils-Rangers game now or a Nets-Knicks game. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
FiddySicks
Tim McCarver is an idiot. This is coming from a Cardinals fan. my dad was an the ARMY with Tim McCarver and Ray Sedeki. He was McCarvers bunkie in the Army. One thing though, he is always telling me that the one thing he always noticed was how much of a leader McCarver was. But yeah, my dad thinks hes an idiot too, at least now he is an idiot On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) Cujo
How does McCarver still have a job? Everyone thinks he's a total moron and nobody likes this guy, myself included.

Smethings will never be known? Same thing goes with Joe Buck. But I guess his father being Jack Buck has something to do with it.To sum up. Jack Buck: Good, Joe Buck: Awful McCarver: Even worse than Buck Jr.
TFoA
That whole AB with Koo today was hilarious. Koo made probably the greatest improbable hit in the history of hits, considering the circumstances. A left handed PITCHER, hitting against left-handed, 6'10" Randy Johnson. That's almost an automatic out for a pitcher, and Koo not only got a hit, he got a double. And then to top it off, he scores on a sac bunt-FROM SECOND. Koo is my favorite player not from the Braves now

DEAD!
Joe Buck isn't terrible, he just shouldn't be working with Tim McCarver. I would rather listen to Dan Schulman or Johnny Miller. I hate Michael Kay just because of that the "SEE YA!" home run call. To me, that sounds annoying as hell. Although I like the White Sox one "You can put in on the board.... YES!" I saw, I came, I left.
jkrdevil
Here my problem with Buck. He tryes to be funny but he isn't, this is especially worse when the games he is doing are blowouts. I'm not saying an annoucer shouldn't inject some humor just make sure it is good and doesn't seem forced. Make sure it fits into the flow of the game. He try's to do these cute jokes and be funny when it doesn't fit. When he doesn't do that he isn't bad. But each year he gets worse and worse. pcgd
Joe Buck is fine for Cardinals broadcasts. I love it when its him and Al Herboski annoncing games on Fox Sports. He had an awesome call the other night. Pujols went yard and there was no, "back to the wall..." or "It might be...." Right off the bat he just said "And albert pujols hits a home run to left." I don't know why but I loved it. But, anything that's national he sucks though. I hated him in the world series and in football. Your right, he does try to be funny. But most announcers do and few if any are successful on purpose. If they are funny, its cause they are an idiot. That packers/vikings game was doomed from the start. Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, AND Chris Collinsworth in one booth...god.
