FiddySicks Posted June 11, 2005 Share Posted June 11, 2005 OK, this may seem slightly crazy but there have been studies that show that seeing certain colors can change a persons mood. find a lot of teams to be easier to watch because of their colors. I find that every time i watch a Nats game when they are at home or a Cards game at home i always feel tense and drowsy afterwards. But, if i watch a Mariners game, especially when they are playnig at home i feel really relaxed and calm. I always find the Mariners refreshing to watch because in the world of rediculously bright unis such as the Braves alt, anything Bright red, and even unis with really contrasting colors such as the Reds red and black combo or the Royals bright blue and black(not a terrible contrast but still) i think the Mariners have hit it on the head. Anyway my question is, has anyone else noticed this, and does anyone else have a uni set that they find really easy to watch, or really hard to watch? On the court they have black, gold, silver, blue, red, maybe white and of course the brown of the hardwood. Most of the time one or more of these colors clash with the opposing team. I love watching a SF Giants home game. McCovey Cove is a beautiful visual and also for whatever reason I like the color of the grass. TwoRsAndTwoLs Posted June 11, 2005 Share Posted June 11, 2005 Padres alternates on the road make me happy, but their regular all-sand set irks my eyes.I like the Rays blue and their green, but they don't work together very well at all. Their jackets with the blue gussets look pretty bad.The Angels need some contrast because the all-red is a bit much... if they'd use their BP caps all the time, I think they'd have it nicely.As for other teams, I suppose I'll have to think about that. mac Posted June 11, 2005 Share Posted June 11, 2005 I like any team that uses teal, I think that is a very relaxing color especially paired with a navy blue or black. I hate the hornets though. Teams that I hate watching are like the baltimore ravens, sacromento kings on the road, I hate the la Kings black home jerseys. I just don't like purple and black.
