What are you TALKING about?!

O'Neill is 29, he ain't retiring any time soon.

So, he had one bad year. Keep in mind he's been spending his career with one of the most consistently crappy franchises in Hartford/Carolina.

Here's O'Neill's stats.

Yeah, I know his stats and age.

My point was he's like most others and going to T.O . is a career death wish.

Doesn't he know he won't win a Cup now?? :D

Nice move, Leafs.

Keeping in mind he's 29, as long as he heals fully, he's gonna be a great addition. Being closer to home after losing his brother won't hurt either.

I wish him well... I got to meet him last year and share a beer - he was at RBC Center in Raleigh (after his operation; the 'Canes were out of town) during the NCAA ('04) 1st/2nd round games. He was a great guy to hang out with, real down to earth and friendly. Hockey needs guys like him now that they are trying to resurrect the league.

In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.

As if he would win one with the 'Canes? :P

And if Gary Roberts gets re-signed, O'Neill can be his wingman.

Keep in mind the two were teammates in Carolina during O'Neill's best season.

And that was the whole reason for the deal. Classy move by the 'Canes to make it happen.

That "consistently crappy" team certainly knocked the Makebeliefs senseless in 2002....

No argument there.

And guess who was headmanning the charge?

Jeff O'Neill!

Oh yeah, and Arturs Irbe, that crabby little Latvian netminder.

My dad entered a work pool and jokingly picked him for his team, since my hockey jersey number is 92.

He won.

Good pickup for the Leafs....O'Neill's a talent when healthy and when paired up with some good linemates, he can produce.

Nice enough guy too...ran into him and the entire Canes roster in '04 over in Greektown after a game with the Wings...was a thrill to meet up with a few of the Canes that had played in Hartford as well (never wished the players ill will, just the scumbag that signed their checks).
