rfpierce
They're not using it as a patch, just in and around the stadium and on some merchandise. I like it, I just wish they would use it more often.
themightyspitz
I say they should use it as a patch. That's a pretty nice logo.
IceCap
it should defently be a patch. the one thing i would change would be to have the old seahawk facing the new seahawk. Titanium Eagle
How is the 10th anniversary of the Mariners in 1995 when their inaugrual season was in 1977?
rfpierce
It's the 10th anniversary of their first playoff season. When you lose that many games you have to have something to celebrate, right???
STL FANATIC
It'd be better if the lime area was the lighter blue and then the thin outline on the shield (that is currently split with two colors--light blue and white, were all lime. Chazberg
I really don't like it, I don't get the takeoff on the NFL shield and it doesn't match their current look at all. At least it doesn't use Roman numerals.... charles-noerenberg.com

VitaminD
It's strange that the two most dominant colors in the shield's background are the two that the Seahawks use the least: electric lime and white. For all the fuss they made about "Seahawk Blue" and "Other Seahawk Blue" (I'm kidding, but you get my point), the patch makes it look like their colors are green and white, and blue is relegated to trim status. "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... In old New York..."In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.
Gothamite
It's the 10th anniversary of their first playoff season. When you lose that many games you have to have something to celebrate, right??? Wow. That's incredibly bush-league.If you don't have anything significant to celebrate, don't celebrate anything at all. What's next - in a couple years, will they have a patch to celebrate 20 years of the navy-silver-and-teal color scheme? rfpierce
No, if I know the Mariner's PR staff, next year they'll have to celebrate the five year anniversary of their 116 win season.
Brian in Boston
As a die-hard Seattle Seahawks fan who has rooted for the team since it entered the NFL, all I can say is...Meh. I'm not feeling it.
