Post 1000 Fiesta - MBL Uniforms

Well, I've been at the board since July 2003, and my best known work has still been that maddening work of recoloring, Project Rafale.

That is about to change.

I'm embarking on a change in sports, a change in source material, and a chance to use WordArt a lot more often.

I'm announcing the beginning of Project MBL.

That's not a typo. That stands for Mario Baseball League.

Since the Mario Superstar Baseball game neglected to make uniforms for each character, I'll be doing that, as well as eventually including some doodles that I did.

So, to begin, I present the equivalent of the New York Yankees: The Mario Fireballs!

I admit, it's not the most complicated uniform, but keep in mind my forte is hockey, not baseball.

The home uni is based off of the Super Mario World Fire Mario sprite, the road uni is based off of the regular Mario for just every game since Super Mario Brothers 2, and the alternate is based off the Super Mario Brothers 3 Fire Mario (spicy!).

Next up, The Luigi Leapers.

idk about the pant-jersey color combos. white pants on all would be better. i see what u were going for with matching the sprites but its definatly out there.

You gotta go with Luigi Gentlemen for the team name. As a lifelong Luigi fan, I will push for this. It was the best team name in MSB, you totally have to. The top hat and cane would make a sweet sleeve patch.

I was thinking of having two L's moving upward diagonally, sorta looking like someone's feet and calves as they were jumping.

But the Gents also has a nice ring to it.

And if anyone can get me some screenshots of the in-game logos, it would be much appreciated.

At least he didn't bother with an alternate.

Well, I am happy to announce the fourth team of the Mario Baseball League: The Waluigi Mystiques!

Waluigi also had the sense (or laziness) not to create a third jersey.

As well, he left his clunky name off the front of the jerseys, a move that will likely be mimicked throughout the jerseys done so far soon.

Next up: The PEACH MONARCHS.

Then: The DAISY PETALS.

Then: The DONKEY KONG EXPLORERS.

Then: The YOSHI ISLANDERS.

Then: The BIRDO MODELS.

Finally: The BOWSER BLACK SOX.
