It's true.It's like writing an academic paper. The difference between plagiarism and research is a matter of crediting the sources you used. To extend the analogy a little farther yet, if you simply restate what someone else has said, even with giving appropriate credit, you won't generate the same kind of response as if you break new ground and do something that hasn't been done before.
