rock55choc
So I was sitting here tonite, watching the Middies from the US Naval Academy and the Rams from Colorado State in the splendid new Poinsettia Bowl in beautiful San Diego, CA and I realized something odd on the back of CSU's helmets. I do not have a picture of this, but there was a reddish-orange A on the lower right corner of their headgear. If any Colorado State fans , Mountain West fans, or anyone else knows the significance of these decals, your information would be much appreciated. Thanks. tjpskillz34
As a former CSU student, I have a good answer for you:The "A" is a specific reference to the Agricultural Heritage of the school. There is actually a large "A" on the mountian next to Hughes Stadium. Colorado State actually used to be the Colorado A&M Aggies, but changed in 1957. Please bring me some defense this offseason!!! CFSize24
Glad to see it wasn't commemorating a tragedy. Usually when you see something back there, there is a tragedy involved.
