I'm in the beginning of creating a city with every major sport league franchise. The city is made up ( I think.) It will have a NHL, MLB, NFL, NBA, MLS, Arena and a divsion 1 college.

Here is the beginnig of my NHL team: Sampston Caribou

45,000 for a hockey arena...sorry that just doesn't happen, most NHL rinks average around 18,000-21,000. I will probably tkae a way some though.

It is one of those adjustable arenas it is a football and basketball as well

The Pontiac Silverdome, I believe, used to be this type so while the seats in the upper regions would be terrible it is possible to do this.

Aside from the comedically-oversized arena - multipurpose or not, you're not going to be able to use 45,000 seats for a hockey game. Even when the Lightning used what is now Tropicana Field, they had to block off some seats as unusable.

As for the uniforms:

1. NHL = dark sweaters at home, light on the road.

2. White helmets with dark sweaters = yuck.

3. The semicircles under the arms represent reinforced stitching for elbow padding... it's supposed to be the same color as the rest of the sleeves. These are hockey sweaters, not a sportcoat for an English lit professor. Double yuck.

4. White pants on any hockey uniform = double-plus yuck.

"Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... In old New York..."

In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.

I made a Winnipeg Jets concept with white pants so that at home they could join in the Whiteouts with white helmets, sweaters, pants, and socks. I thought it looked okay, but maybe a little silly on the road.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Not in Pittsburgh :D

But as many as this guy wants... Thats just insane. 45,000!? Youre better off freezing the floor of the silverdome. How many people are supposed to live in this city of yours anyhow?

I remember Marvel Comics creating an alternative universe where all the cities and states had different names, for their Squadron Supreme book. The states were in different shapes and many of the cities were different in size and significant to their other-world counterparts. Some of the names sound almost legit. Below are some of the real world locations and ther other-world counterparts and some of their cities & locations. Some of their counterparts are more obvious than others...

Penn & NJ: Danteana- Hegeltown, Metzburg, Vulcanus

Massachusetts/RI/ME: Freedonia- Mayflower, Pentucket, Franklintown

Arizona: Herculanea- Atomic City, Huxley

Nevada: Aztecha- Canaan, Great American Desert

Virginia: Magelland- Capitol City, Sparta, Jefferson

Vermont/NH: Moreland- Maslow, Rangeley Mountain Range

California: New Babylon- Sequoya, Harbor City, Angelopolis

New York/CT: New Troy- Cosmopolis, Pommerschen, Knickerbocker City

Western NY & Penn: Niagra- Liberty Falls, Visorgog

Texas: Olmstead- Alamo, Shrodinger, Crocketteville

Illinois/Indiana: Sigmund- Mechanopolis, Laington, Santayana

Colorado: Sylvania- Jonesville, Fort Largo

Florida: Vesperia- Atlantis, Lemurus

Wisconsin: Winnebago- Lincolnshire

Michigan: Wyandota- Motor City

I figure if you're going to make up a city, go all out and make an entire universe around it. Just listed this for inspiration.

We all have our little faults. Mine's in California.

For Marvel's alternate universe, let me try to guess the fictitious cities' real life equivalents:

Angelopolis: Los Angeles?

Sequoyia: San Francisco?

Harbor City: San Diego?

Alamo: San Antonio?

Shrodinger: Dallas?

Crocketville: Houston?

Atlantis: Miami?

Lemerus: Tampa Bay?

Liberty Falls: Buffalo?

Vulcanus: Pittsburgh?

Cosmopolis: NYC?

Mehcanopolis: Chicago?

Hegeltown: Philadelphia?

Lincolnshire: Milwaukee?

Motor City: Detroit?
