All along, the 'Stros used gothic wordmarks that were strong and/or progressively futuristic. The script font alludes more to the Old West and Texas's history rather than Houston's nickname, "Space City". It's the home of the space program, and the team was named in that vein. The shooting star is nice, but I'd prefer they scrap the cursive altogether and reconnect to the essence of the nickname. "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... I was going to go with the block letters like the 80s, but I wasn't sure of the font.
