cmm
I was brushing up on my Japanese baseball, and I found this article:Hamming It Down in JapanMy apologies if it already has been posted here, but I don't recall seeing it. Anyways, it describes how they came up with their current logo, and it includes some rejected proposed logos, too.
FiddySicks
Baseball Forward SME expects this look to be the next step for M.L.B. teams. The retaining shape is again a diamond, but this time the angles, edges and ''shards'' create ''energy and dynamism'' and ''a bold brand statement.'' Neither text nor figure wins; abstract geometry powers the mark. God I hope their wrong. All four of those logos still suck. slapshot
I'm curious to see if there are Japanese versions of these logos anywhere. I think it's interesting that all the branding is done in Roman letters, since the team is mainly marketed in Japan. Gothamite
Well, that's pretty common with Japanese baseball. Has been for a while.English is on its way to becoming a second official language, which is why the Japanese government keeps importing native English speakers to teach it in schools. Beat me to it--I almost shot water out my nose. Comic Sans walks into a bar, and the bartender says, "Sorry, we don't serve your type here."
