Oops, correct fire. Readjust azimuth.

[Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008

Vince Young hopefully will see limited duty this year. He is progressing but but is nowhere near ready to start. This story broke Sunday night here in Nashville and I tried to locate the thread where I had poo-pooohed somebody's posting about the Titans signing Collins at the beginning if Training camp so they could get at least belated credit. I did no think that Volek would be as unimpressive at this point, he's not been bad just no spark or real signs of improvement. I really how they do not throw Young to the wolves too early. So few rookie QBs get the starting nod and pan out. All in all it is going to be a long year for Tians fans.

Who'll be drinking more: Kerry Collins, or Titans fans?

Thank you for saying what I couldn't say.

(I wonder if there's a clause in his contract about "weight in Jack Daniels" though?) :P
