BlueSky
Wish I could take credit for the blackened Tuna thing but ESPN ran it as a tease for the highlights. In any case, the Saints looked terrific and took care of business Sunday night. As a long-time Saints fan, I knew times had changed on draft day. In the old days, it would have been the Saints who passed on a Reggie Bush for a defensive lineman. In the old days, the Saints would have folded in Green Bay down 17-0 in the first quarter. In the old days, the Saints would have played not to lose instead of playing to win. I'll be the first to admit that 8-8 seemed optimistic at the beginning of the year. What a great season. Through the years, when people would make fun of the Saints, I'd just say, "Every dog has its day." Maybe...just maybe...this dog's day has finally arrived. Lighten up.Hey, it's ok, he's right...things can change in a hurry in the NFL.My most vivid memory of the Saints at Texas Stadium before last night was leading 20-19 with a minute left in 1983. Ken Stabler was then sacked for a safety and the Saints lost 21-20. So last night was very sweet to watch. But Cyclopsis...if the Saints DO win the NFC I may not call you but I sure will repost this. Hey skyaa you have every right to be excited, I'm excited for you because this couldnt have come at a better time for New Orleans. I know in the big scheme of things a football game is meaningless but it really give people something to cling to and get their mind off of the negative for a couple hours a week. Don't worry about Cyclopsis, he tries to steal everybody's thunder. Enjoy it while it lasts.I liken this season for the saints to the '99 season for the rams. 4-12 in '98 i remember telling my mom before the season started that I would be stoked if the rams could pull of an 8-8 season so they go and win the Super Bowl. That was a pretty incredible ride. World Champions: 1926 1931 1934 1942 1944 1946 1964 1967 1982 2006

whitedawg22
The Saints are seriously flawed, given their abysmal defense (Peter King has a pretty good breakdown of why they looked good against Dallas, despite their faults). But so is everyone else in the NFC, so they have as good of a chance as any team.Personally, I'm just glad that sportswriters will stop creaming their pants over Romo after a few decent games. Also, for a funny (if non-PC) read, check this out - the power rankings are priceless. oh ,my god ,i strong recommend you to have a visit on the website ,or if i'm the president ,i would have an barceque with the anthor of the articel . FiddySicks
27) Green Bay Packers: I respect Brett Favre, I really do. He's a great actor and I loved him in Something About Mary -- but the old man's lost it. Though, if I signed with Green Bay I would probably keep him around... I mean, he'd be great if the Packer Cheerleaders ever broke their T-Shirt cannon and needed somebody to blindly toss stuff around the stadium. Thats flippin great. Lighten up.There's a not so friendly feud going on between me and skyaa right now. But since Atlanta won too, it's all cool.Which is my attitude on this whole situation: Atlanta won, we basically control our own destiny, so it's all good.In addition, there was this guy at my school who would not stop going on about how the Cowboys were the pre-ordained winners of the Super Bowl, and how "they already have their rings in the mail because Tony Romo is the sh-t and T.O. is the truth." So yeah, we give that dude a tongue lashing today. But all bets are off on Saturday, because everyone in Atlanta knows, do not, under any circumstances, bet on the Falcons to win, or lose. They are that unpredictable. But a win = playoffs. Hopefully. But yeah, congrats to the Saints. After years of sucking and that one fluky year where you got the first playoff victory evar, and after the circumstances of the Hurricane, they deserve it. This is the one year I can actually stand the Saints winning.

Coast2CoastAM2006
saints were playing the cowboys? wow, i thought i was watching the Saints/Texans last night. with the way the cowboys played it might as well have been the texans out there. by the way i guarentee a Saints super bowl win. I am so confident that the saints will win the super bowl, that if they don't win the super bowl, i'll wear a saints avatar. I am also so confident that the cowboys will not make the playoffs(through wild card or division), win the NFC or Super Bowl that i'll wear a "Howard Dean for President" as a signature if they do any of that. Spoilers!
