DJSpeedy Posted January 22, 2007 Share Posted January 22, 2007 Forget about the Cardinals, Bucs, and Dolphins winning the Super Bowl as those are the sites in 2008, 2009, and 2010. No team that has hosted the SB has played in it.Now one could argue that the '85 SB was a "home" game for the 49ers since the game was played in Stanford Stadium, just 30 miles away from the Bay Area. However, the 49ers home field was Candlestick Park, and so this "theory" really doesn't hold water. Of course, we all know how bad the Cards have been and aren't really a threat to make it to the playoffs, much less the SB, anytime soon.The Dolphins appeared to be on the rebound, but with a new coach, may be on the rebuilding wagon for the next few years.As for the Bucs - this season was a fluke. Like you said though there have been cases where a team played in the Super Bowl in their home market but not Stadium. The 49ers in Super Bowl XIX and the Rams in XIV. My initial inclination was that that would be all but impossible, however - it's a little better than a 1 in 4 chance that both home teams would win, and given that the conference championships have now been played 41 times... oh ,my god ,i strong recommend you to have a visit on the website ,or if i'm the president ,i would have an barceque with the anthor of the articel .
