His punishment should be he cant work for another team having an effect on personnel decision, though if he wanted to be an announcer or some figure head that will be allowed.Exactly. College sports as we know them are just about dead. The lid is off on all the corruption that taints just about every major program and every decision that the schools or the NCAA make is only about money, money, and more money. We'll have three 16+ team super-conferences sooner rather than later, killing much of the regional flair and traditional rivalries that make college sports unique and showing the door to any school that doesn't bring money to the table in the process. Pretty soon the smaller schools are going to have to consider forming their own sanctioning body to keep the true spirit of college sports alive because the NCAA will only get worse in it's excess from here Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Who is to say he didn't bet against his team?Not even that who's to say he didn't lie about betting on his team every day. As it says in the Dowd report there were days when he didn't bet on the Reds. Well taking days off in betting is just as bad as betting against your team. It changes the way a he would manage if he wasn't a manager who bet on his team. He should not get in the Hall of Fame ever, managing is still part of his baseball career.
