Joshawaggie
on another note.....they have the old style all star jerseys as yall know, but they are keepin their same numbers, like duncan and garnett both have 21.... i guess its just an all star game and it really makes no difference, but it just seems weird at first.josh
sj32
I saw that everybody kept their own number at the Pro Bowl last week. I hadn't noticed that before.

lucky
I'm assuming that with everyone buying up jerseys left and right, the NBA figured nobody would cough up 60 bucks for a replica "Duncan 12" jersey.
RobRoberts
Why not? I have a Sakic "19," "18" from one of the All Star Games, and a Team Canada "91."Diversity is cool. It said so in my grade school cafateria.Rob

Snowcap30
i think the NHL is prob the only league (and hockey as a sport in general) to change the numbers on jerseys for all-star games.
STL FANATIC
Nope, the NFL has done it most years. I can remember isaac bruce not getting to wear 80 due to Carter or Rice's senoirity.
random
The NFL stopped it last year. its easy to tell em apart b/c they are wearing different helmets. but in bball it seems to be harder to tell the players apart.
mjrbaseball
NBA went back to special All-Star uniforms after several years of having players wear regular team unis, like baseball does. However, in the NBA, both teams say "NBA" on the front.I remember when I was a kid, I thought it was cool when Jerry West played in the All-Star game, because it said "West" on both the front and the back!
