This is what I came up with using part of their old alt logo. Something looks odd about but I dont know what...I like the idea though! C&C please. The only thing that would make it look more like a D is if it were stood up more on end, and I guess if the back of the "D" were straight (but it wouldn't look like a shooting star). It's got a lot of potential and looks killer. But, without your explanation of what the logo looks like, no one is really going to be able to tell what that is. I just don't think this version pulls off what you are trying to achieve. Also a shooting star is more of a streak, not a curve.
