Just a reminder about the excellent NFL broadcast map site, the one that shows what games are on in what markets. The first link is to the home page, the second is for anyone who's not familiar with the site. It shows the listings from last year, click to access the maps.

I will not have to worry about this anymore...DirecTV will be installed tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon.

You may have more worries than you think. I had them for several years and as much as I want to watch the Saints, DirecTV's service and equipment (the DVR - model R15 IIRC) were so horrible that I had to jettison them when my contract ended. Seriously, it took 2 to 3 calls to get anything done and they tried to charge me twice claiming I didn't return my equipment even though I e-mailed them the FedEx tracking numbers.

I don't mean to rain on your parade, and if they've upgraded the DVRs and moved customer service out of Mumbai, you may have better luck. I hope that's the case.

So if I ask nicely, is there any chance the local BW3 would put the Rams game on one of the secondary TVs?

I've had Directv since Sunday Ticket started and never had any problems.

Well, there were survivors when the Titanic sank too...

JK, I had DirecTV many years ago and they were terrific. That's one reason I was so disappointed when I signed up again in '06 and they were horrible. Like anything, your mileage may vary and I'm glad your service has been smooth.

FYI...

Associated Press

NEW YORK -- NFL fans whose local teams' games are blacked out will be able to watch replays online for free -- though not until after midnight.

The recession has left several teams in danger of having games blacked out this season. The league announced Thursday that home fans will be able to view the delayed broadcasts on NFL.com for 72 hours, except during "Monday Night Football." A game is not aired in the home market if it does not sell out 72 hours in advance.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell says the league understands the economy is limiting some fans from buying as many tickets as they had in the past.
