kiwi_canadian
Salmon Kings are doing the pink jersey thing for cancer research this Saturday. Now I'm all for the pink at the rink and raising money for research but this combo is just hard on the eyes. I know salmon are pink but this just does not look right. DelayedPenalty
If any team has a good excuse to wear pink jerseys, it's the Salmon Kings. They don't look half bad, since they're only a one night deal (I hope?)

That said, maybe this jersey is soo pink to accurately reflect the fact that the players are being raised on the farm(team). Farm raised salmon are fed pellets because shrimp would cost more and we humans want that shrimp ourselves. They load those pellets up up with nutrients, growth hormones, etc, but also pink dye. If they didn't put the dye in, the fish would look grey and humans wouldn't want to eat it. Farm raised shrimp are also lazy, aggressive and mis-shapen; just a bye product of humans making the world better. The problem though is that they do like to escape which "taints" the wild fish. But I digress. On this jersey, the pink dye looks great!
