Okay, so here is a thread where you can post trade ideas/trades you want to see happen. I'm sure there will be a lot of Justin Upton rumors so here's an Upton trade involving the D-Backs and the Mariners.

Seeing as the Mariners are one of only 4 teams on Upton's no-trade list, that ain't happening.

But I'll bite with an idea of my own:

I saw this trade posted on an Orioles message board. What does everyone else think (especially D-Backs fans)?

any prospect (except Manny Machado)

I don't think its enough. I would think any Justin Upton trade would have to involve Brian Matusz or Matt Wieters. I'm really torn on Justin Upton. This is a very rare opportunity to acquire a young emerging superstar, but I'm not sure if he is worth the cost to the O's. By that, I mean getting this one player costs the complementary pieces needed to compete in the AL East. One superstar isn't going to carry a team.

I'll have to disagree. Your giving up your ace (Guthrie), your {supposed} future star (Riemold), and your base stealer/good defensive outfielder (Pie) for a whole lot of strikeouts (and a few home runs here and there).

If I ran the O's, I wouldn't try to make a huge splash this offseason. Showalter ran a >500 team last year. I was at the game where Roberts hit the walk-off in the 10th against the White Sux, making the O's 6-1 under Showalter. It was magical, even though I'm not a big O's fan (but I am a White Sux hater )
