TBGKon
... have they decided where the teams will be or is it the same as the new NALL just make it up as they go along sort of deal?According to the SportsBusiness Journal, seven initial NALL franchise owners have been lined up. Further, said team owners have selected the markets in which they'll operate, and six of the seven teams have targeted home arenas.Charlotte, NCOwner: Graham D'Alvia - President, US Indoor LacrosseArena: Bojangles' ColiseumHershey, PAOwner: Ted Glynn - Owner, Glynn InternationalArena: Giant CenterLexington, KYOwner: Anthony Chase - Principal, Consolo ServicesArena: TBDNew York Metro AreaOwner: Michael Xirinachs - Owner, Emerald Asset AdvisorsArena: Barclays Center (Brooklyn, NY) or Prudential Center (Newark, NJ)Orlando, FLOwner: Phil Rawlins - President, Orlando City Soccer ClubArena: Amway CenterRichmond, VAOwner: Steve Burton - CEO, SportsQuestArena: New facility to be built on SportsQuest campus in Chesterfield County, VA Wilkes-Barre, PAOwner: Jim Jennings - President, Waterbucket MediaArena: Mohegan Sun ArenaHow much of this will actually come to pass is anyone's guess.Wow Orlando, and Kentucky? Aren't these big Basketball and Football areas?Surprisingly, Orlando and Central Florida has a strong interest in lacrosse. Many high schools have it offered as a sport. In fact, the small private school I went to (Saint Leo University) began playing collegiate lacrosse in 2005 and is somewhat successful.

The team has been dubbed the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Shamrocks. The name was reportedly selected over Haymakers and Bullies. Brian in Boston
The NALL has officially announced the launch of a third member-franchise. Jacksonville, FLOwner: Brett Vickers - President, Equity SportsArena: Jacksonville Veterans Memorial ArenaThe as-yet unnamed team joins the previously-announced Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Shamrocks and a Charlotte, North Carolina-based franchise as teams the NALL has revealed will take part in the league's inaugural season. Vickers has been involved in minor-pro/alternative sports ventures since the late 1990s. He served as Vice-President of Ticket Sales for the Continental Basketball Association's Florida Beach Dogs, was President of the United States Basketball League's Florida Sea Dragons, founded the NBA D-League's Florida Flame, was President of both the United Hockey League's Chicago Hounds and the Continental Indoor Football League's Chicago Slaughter, and served as a Vice-President with the National Lacrosse League. Brian in Boston
The North American Lacrosse League franchise in Charlotte, North Carolina has officially adopted the Charlotte Copperheads identity. Copperheads management has announced that the logo they unveiled to accompany the name in their Name-the-Team Tournament is now being "refined" prior to an official unveiling.Meanwhile, the NALL's Jacksonville, Florida-based franchise has revealed its name and logo. The team has been dubbed the Jacksonville Bullies. The Bullies' logo was designed by Chris Lochinski, principal of Lock Designs in Columbus, Ohio. Given that the name Bullies was one of the identities under consideration for the NALL's Wilkes-Barre/Scranton franchise, one has to wonder whether this logo was custom-designed for the Jacksonville team, or simply represents a repurposing of a logo designed to accompany a candidate name for the Pennsylvania-based club? Save for the anchor affixed to the bulldog's collar (which references the U.S. Navy presence in the region), there's nothing to specifically tie the logo to Jacksonville.
