GeauxColonels
I think American Rugby Union would be perfect. Great name. Your choices for markets is also very good. Can't wait to see this evolve.
El Dandy
I really like the Voyageurs idea steff002 tossed out for Minnesota. A "devils" theme for Vegas is a good idea too, and I also like San Francisco Redwoods and Golden Gate RFC. Really, a lot of the name ideas being tossed around are solid. As for shirt sponsor ideas, I'm going to try and not repeat cohenj21. All of these companies are either based in the city mentioned or are nearby.Atlanta: Delta, Coca-Cola, or SunTrust BankBoston: Liberty MutualChicago: United Continental, Sears, or BoeingDallas: Southwest Airlines or AT&TDenver: Coors or Western UnionHouston: Marathon OilLas Vegas: a casino -- Caesar's Palace or MGM GrandLos Angeles: Live Nation or Pacific LifeMiami: Office DepotMinneapolis: Target or Best BuyNew York: AIG, MetLife, Verizon, or ViacomPhiladelphia: Sunoco or Campbell's SoupSalt Lake City: HuntsmanSan Francisco: Wells Fargo, Visa, The Gap, or Charles SchwabSeattle: Starbucks, Amazon, or MicrosoftWashington: Marriott

ElTeduardo
You should name some of them after European clubs like maybe the Philadelphia Scarlets or Chicago Saracens or something

apetz1
Rather than Target or Best Buy, I'd imagine the rugby team playing at the current Gopher's stadium - TCF Bank stadium (outdoor venue smaller than the Metrodome). So having the shirt sponsor as TCF Bank would make sense. For some team name suggestions:New England RevoltOld Penn RFCGeorgia Empires (nicknamed the Empire State of the South)Washington CapitalFrom my experience (mostly with Australian and New Zealand Rugby) a number of teams had singular names. I'm also a big fan of the "Old" prefix or the OBC (Old Boys Club) as a suffix.
nas1787
OK here's concept #1. Utah HornetsI like the idea of hornets because it lends itself so well to interesting design elements (hoops, hexagons). I got a little worried half way through worrying that it was only bees that have the hexagon honeycomb shape. But I looked it up, and hornets nests do also have the same structure. The crest is a hexagon with a U and H inside following the lines of the hexagon. Pretty straightforward. The home kit uses the hoops as the main motif, while the alternate just uses them down the side of the jersey and shorts. The Huntsman Corporation has their name on a number of things in the SLC area, so they are shirt sponsors. In the CRP I used one font for all clubs (a traditional block font). For the ARU I originally planned to do the same thing, just with a more modern looking font (the one you see here). What does everyone think of this? One font for consistency, or different for each club?I should also mention that just to provide a little differentiation from the CRP, the ARU has their logo on the right sleeve rather than the front of the jersey.Feedback welcome. WarriorFight
Washington Senators, Senators RFC, Capitals RFC, Generals RFC, Washington 1790 RFC (Year of Founding). Seattle- Cascades RFCBrooklyn Lions (for the Dutch heritage), Brooklyn 1634 (Year first Settled). (Maybe use orange for the dutch heritage)Houston- Nova RFCBoston- Beacons RFC, Minutemen RFCJust some ideas, and I love the Utah kits, btw. nas1787
You should name some of them after European clubs like maybe the Philadelphia Scarlets or Chicago Saracens or somethingI likely will do this. I'll save them for now, and if there are any cities that I don't have a name for that I like, they'll be the so-called Europosing clubs.
cohenj21
I like the Utah concept, the stripey hornet design looks really good on a rugby kit. The side striping on the clash looks great as well. As for the font, do you mean the font for the team wordmark or for the jersey numbers? "Those who believe in telekinetics, raise my hand." El Dandy
First: Yay! I picked both team name AND kit sponsor!Second: Gorgeous! The side stripes on the alt are awesome, and I really like the home concept in general. Part of me wants to see a yellow third jersey with hexagons, but the home and alt themselves are wonderful. Midway
I was worried the "UH" in the main logo would look too collegiate for its own good but the way you rendered it is fantastic and appropriate to the brand. Great start
Whittier S
Going off the suggestion of "New York Boros", I'd have to say "New York Burros" or "New York City Burros" might be just about a perfect, a bilingual pun in a polyglot city.
