Back to the Americas - in this case, the first Central American team to be featured in the series:

The Republic of Honduras is located in Central America between Guatemala, El Salvador, and Nicaragua. In pre-colonial times, parts of present-day Honduras were part of the flourishing Mayan civilization. After the arrival of the Spanish in the 1500s, Honduras became part of the large Spanish Empire in the Americas. Honduras gained independence from Spain in 1821, was briefly a part of the Mexican Empire, then of several failed attempts to create a federation of Central American countries. Honduras relied chiefly on export-based agriculture in the 1900s (and is the origin of the term "banana republic") and saw large amounts of foreign influence and intervention (namely, the U.S.) through the 1980s. Today, Honduras is relatively stable but not without problems, with a "medium" Human Development Index of 120th of 186.

Soccer is by far the most popular sport in Honduras, and the men's national team is ranked 50th in the world by FIFA. Honduras once fought a short, 4-day war in 1969 against neighboring El Salvador, known popularly as the Football War - not because it started at a football match (the underlying causes are much deeper) but because the two countries happened to be playing each other in 1970 World Cup qualification the month before the "war." Honduras has competed at all but two Summer Olympics since making its debut in Mexico City 1968, and has sent one total Olympian to one Winter Games - a cross-country skier in Barcelona 1992. Honduras has never won an Olympic medal. As for American football in Honduras, there is a federation that has existed since 2002 - any further information is hard to come by, but hey, it does exist...

Ended up looking like a sort of "Colts-meet-University of Kentucky" mashup, but I'm pretty satisfied with this one. The abbreviation "FEDFAHON" is similar to common abbreviations in Spanish (Honduras' football federation is called FENAFUTH - Federación Nacional Autónoma de Fútbol de Honduras) and in this case stands for Federación de Fútbol Americano de Honduras. The helmet logo was a no-brainer - officially, the stars on the Honduran flag are supposed to be arranged in an X, but I always thought it was appropriate that they resembled an H as well.
