buzzcut
The first problem is to find out which cities are best suitable for the league. Then you have to pair them up with who's still has yet to secure a team, via parent club ownership. or affiliation. This includes the three independents still remaining. Here's how I shook it out.Charlotte Bobcats - Greenville, SCDetroit Pistons - Grand Rapids, MIIndiana Pacers - Fort Wayne Mad AntsMemphis Grizzlies - Little Rock, AR(revival of the Arkansas RimRockers?)Milwaukee Bucks - Depends on where the team remains in Milwaukee, or moves to Seattle. If they stay, Green Bay, WI. If they move to Seattle, Spokane, WA.Orlando Magic - Jacksonville, FLChicago Bulls - Iowa EnergyDenver Nuggets - Fort Collins, COMinnesota Timberwolves - Rochester, MNNew Orleans Pelicans - Biloxi, MSWashington Wizards - Richmond, VA or Norfolk, VAAtlanta Hawks - Savannah, GALos Angeles Clippers - Bakersfield JamPhoenix Suns - Prescott, AZToronto Raptors - Hamilton, ON or Oshawa, ON(The presence of the OHL's Generals may preclude this city from D-League membership)Utah Jazz - Casper, WY The CCSLC's resident Geelong Cats fan. HiddenCam
I'd have to recommend Gwinnett County, GA for the Atlanta Hawks...already a quality, 13,000-seat in the Arena at Gwinnett Center up in Duluth. Roughly 30 minutes/miles from Philips and it's close enough to the parent team while far out enough to have its' own sustainability of some sort, similar to the Gwinnett Braves. Also would like to see the Albuquerque Thunderbirds revived, with them being affiliated with Phoenix or Denver.Other than that, I see some good thinking in this thread. DS729
Well, the fact is I tried to take into consideration markets that would support the team, for example, if the Trail Blazers had an affiliate in Seattle, they wouldn't get the best support due to the lack of Trail Blazer fans, and if you've never been to Tennessee then you wouldn't know but the whole state kind of pretends Memphis is located in Mississippi or Arkansas from a sport perspective, a Memphis team would get NO SUPPORT from Nashville or Knoxville.
