I've never heard it played after a penalty, or at any rink for that matter, but that sounds like "Boys and Girls" by Blur.

this is a very interesting topic to see the different songs

and styles played around the league. I know in Toronto and Buffalo you'll hear The Tragically Hip played during stoppages. Where as here in Columbus they're more likely to play

that Quiet Riot crap. As for specific moments in the game,

for penalties I've heard "I fought the Law" or "Authority song"

by John Mellancamp. I've also heard "hit theroad Jack"

when a player gets tossed.

Of course the best hockey song is "The Good 'Ol Hockey Game" by Stompin Tom Connors. Or try "Hit Somebody" by Warren Zevon.

Oviously the imfamous Rock 'n Roll part 2 by Gary Glitter.  If I'm not mistaken the Colorado Rockies were the first hockey team to use it after a goal was scored.

From San Jose, the team uses:

2 Unlimited - Get Ready 4 This [sharks entry music]

Darude - Sandstorm

Moby - James Bond theme (Techno remix)

The Chemical Brothers - Name of the Game (Clean Name version)

Pat Benatar - Hit Me with Your Best Shot

Fatboy Slim - Because We Can

Eddy Money - Shakin'

Metallica - Enter Sandman [sharks entry warmup music]

Guns 'N Roses - Welcome to the Jungle [sharks entry music for the playoffs...when they have them]

2004 San Jose Sharks 7th Man Fan of the Year

San Jose Gold Miners - 4x Lombardi Cup Champions

my personal favorite tune from the tank was during a beatdown of LA we were treated to Metallica's "King Nothing"! :D

also, Ive never been to the RBC center in Raleigh, but is it pretty safe to say that during hockey games they beat a certain Scorpions song to death?  :;):

ugh! glam rock!

if music were colors, then hair metal would be brown!

As Mr. T would say:

"I pity the fool who compair hair metal to brown!"

Black is a more appropriate color.

My favorite metal song is "Enter the Sandman" by Metallica.

Big Mac, the theme to Jaws is for the Power Play.  A tradition that started at the cow palace was for fans to extend their arms and dangle their hands to make shark teeth and go up and down.  Hence the imfamous "Chomp" for the Sharks Power Play.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't/wasn't the Cow Palace in the San Francisco/Oakland area?  That's almost an hour from San Jose.
