puckcool22 Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 what are some songs frequently played at hockey games, because sometimes I hear songs at them or on tv and they get stuck in my head but i dont know what thir called or by who so i cant download them, anyone know any. Also does anyone know this song: its played usually after a penatly is called, and says something like girls love boys boys love girls , idk cant remember it too well
-kj Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 I've never heard it played after a penalty, or at any rink for that matter, but that sounds like "Boys and Girls" by Blur. philly97flyer Posted May 31, 2003 Posted May 31, 2003 the song says "girls rock your boys" and its called Feel The Noise by Quiet Riot
IronChefShark Posted May 31, 2003 Posted May 31, 2003 ugh! glam rock! if music were colors, then hair metal would be brown! US state flag concepts
bods39 Posted May 31, 2003 Posted May 31, 2003 this is a very interesting topic to see the different songsand styles played around the league. I know in Toronto and Buffalo you'll hear The Tragically Hip played during stoppages. Where as here in Columbus they're more likely to playthat Quiet Riot crap. As for specific moments in the game, for penalties I've heard "I fought the Law" or "Authority song"by John Mellancamp. I've also heard "hit theroad Jack"when a player gets tossed.Of course the best hockey song is "The Good 'Ol Hockey Game" by Stompin Tom Connors. Or try "Hit Somebody" by Warren Zevon.
Hardman 1 Posted May 31, 2003 Posted May 31, 2003 When a penalty is called here in Colorado they play "Man in the Box" By Alice in Chains.
-kj Posted June 1, 2003 Posted June 1, 2003 Glam Rock or Disco? I'll take Glam Rock, please. Buy some t-shirts and stuff at KJ Shop! KJ Branded | Behance portfolio POTD 2013-08-22 On 7/14/2012 at 2:20 AM, tajmccall said: When it comes to style, ya'll really should listen to Kev.
Puckguy14 Posted June 2, 2003 Posted June 2, 2003 Oviously the imfamous Rock 'n Roll part 2 by Gary Glitter. If I'm not mistaken the Colorado Rockies were the first hockey team to use it after a goal was scored. From San Jose, the team uses:2 Unlimited - Get Ready 4 This [sharks entry music]Darude - SandstormMoby - James Bond theme (Techno remix)The Chemical Brothers - Name of the Game (Clean Name version)Pat Benatar - Hit Me with Your Best ShotFatboy Slim - Because We CanEddy Money - Shakin'Metallica - Enter Sandman [sharks entry warmup music]Guns 'N Roses - Welcome to the Jungle [sharks entry music for the playoffs...when they have them] 2004 San Jose Sharks 7th Man Fan of the Year San Jose Gold Miners - 4x Lombardi Cup Champions
IronChefShark Posted June 2, 2003 Posted June 2, 2003 my personal favorite tune from the tank was during a beatdown of LA we were treated to Metallica's "King Nothing"! also, Ive never been to the RBC center in Raleigh, but is it pretty safe to say that during hockey games they beat a certain Scorpions song to death? :: US state flag concepts

As Mr. T would say:"I pity the fool who compair hair metal to brown!"Black is a more appropriate color. My favorite metal song is "Enter the Sandman" by Metallica.
BigMac1212 Posted June 2, 2003 Posted June 2, 2003 Metallica - Enter Sandman [sharks entry warmup music]Really? I thought it would of been the theme to Jaws
Puckguy14 Posted June 2, 2003 Posted June 2, 2003 Big Mac, the theme to Jaws is for the Power Play. A tradition that started at the cow palace was for fans to extend their arms and dangle their hands to make shark teeth and go up and down. Hence the imfamous "Chomp" for the Sharks Power Play. 2004 San Jose Sharks 7th Man Fan of the Year San Jose Gold Miners - 4x Lombardi Cup Champions
