  1. I brought this up in General Design but since the change is being slowly implemented on social media it probably belongs in here. Loyola Marymount’s getting a full rebrand for 19/20 as part of a university wide branding system. OLD: NEW:
  2. You’ll get your 48 hours once the votes come in.
  3. After reviewing his application, McCall has been reinstated as a member of the CCSLC effective immediately.
  4. There has been an influx of dupe accounts created in cases where a password has forgotten. We have a policy to only allow one account per IP address. Please utilize the “forgot my password” link instead of creating a new account that violates our policy. If you must create a new account due to not having access to your recovery email please PM the mod team immediately so that we may merge/delete your old and new accounts. Thank you.
  5. But it's a dry heat. A dry, oppressive, homicidal heat.
  6. Bingo. Nobody seems to mind hockey, softball, water polo, and men’s volleyball being completely different.
  7. Too messy. We'd get even more complaints from people getting blasted with notifications.
  8. He talked to the ad company yesterday and they're claiming that due to the holidays they don't have the staff on hand to respond to the bad ad reports. If things don't improve he'll be taking his business elsewhere.
  9. Copy the URL of the bad ad and paste in the comments. Copy the URL of the last CCSLC page from your history for what you were looking at.
  10. The way the board handles emoji limits it as the trick will put the emoji in only in the course of typing but not as an automatic substitution. We could always return to the days of plop and fluff if that would float your boat.
  11. From now on instead of posting about bad ads here please use the link in pinned thread.
  12. In order to streamline the process, if you run across a redirecting spam ad please report directly to the ad company at the below link. Bad Ad Report
  13. Merging this B1G/Big XII/ACC/SEC deathmatch talk into the OG thread.
  14. With glowing hearts we see thee rise,The True North data free!
  15. The problem? There are so many terrestrial radio companies on the brink of bankruptcy right now that looking to bail off of the sinking ship is the sound business strategy going forward especially now that unlimited data plans have made a comeback and cars are coming equipped with streaming radio apps built in.
  16. KABC has fallen off a cliff. It's the #40 rated station in LA, even below USC's classical music station. The Dodgers have been on KLAC since 2012 and are 50/50 partners with iHeartMedia. They've also been saddled with KEIB "The Patriot" which, while an improvement at 31st, has much less mainstream recognition.
  17. It’s actually an improvement considering that the Kings were stuck on an obscure AM political talk station for several years before the move.
  18. Keep up this faux outrage at everything for much longer and you won't be around here to savor that victory of yours. (The preceding was an official CCSLC moderator statement)
  19. Look at the bright side... Brandiose spared us from its overdone trope of "mascot swinging random object as if it was a bat."
  20. If they want a model for how to market they should look Down Under. Four AFL teams permanently play at the Melbourne Cricket Ground even though they represent different neighborhoods. You could market to OC/SD without actually having a stadium there.
  21. And the Valley isn't even suburbs considering most of it is in LA proper.
  22. REDONDO Beach. Sorry, I live the next city over. Have to correct it for the record.
  23. The AMC's already confirmed to be relocating to the Garden Walk (although strangely I did go on a date at that Downtown Disney AMC a decade or so ago). With the ESPN Zone, since even the one at LA Live, directly downstairs from the ESPN LA studio complex, went under there's no way that's going to come back in any capacity.
  24. It just passed Santa Ana in the last census. I was right at the time that the Angels adopted the name ?
  25. Another difference: LA's a lot bigger and has a few dozen more suburbs. As the map shows there's not a natural dividing line between the LA urban sprawl other than county jurisdiction lines. By the same logic we should have the Carson Galaxy and, in a few years, the Inglewood Rams and Inglewood Chargers. Anaheim's not even the largest city in Orange County. It's acceptable as a location in that it's the most well known city in OC but it's certainly acceptable to have a Los Angeles team there.
