  1. Lost to us somehow was that UC Davis had a revamp. This looks to be the logo that's being emphasized over the horse-in-C logo:
  2. The problem is that the section is already “Sports Logos.” So, you'd have to go Sports Logos -> Sports Logos -> Sports Logos News. That, and if it was done like fantasy the two main sections of the board would be downplayed like FanFic was and the Logolympiad is. This is also a revenue issue. News stories bring people from the mothership, increasing traffic and ad sales. News stories being buried by pages of “what teams wear chartreuse” threads is counterproductive.
  3. The official guidelines of the CCSLC can be found HERE.
  4. It was done since it was getting to the point that recent news discussions were buried under dozens of "what's your favorite one-off minor league team name" and "I just noticed this about a uniform from 1967" threads.
  5. Must have taken Vince months to come up with that one.
  6. The adherence to the code of conduct was added to the registration process due to a continued increase in dupe accounts made because of forgotten passwords despite a rule against it and a whole thread dedicated to it. There was an option to require active accounts to agree to the code of conduct which was activated to prevent cases of board violations due to ignorance.
  7. It makes the most sense from a transportation standpoint. They have a Metrolink station right in the parking lot and a dedicated carpool exit off the 5 that sends you right in.
  8. No updates. No new meetings with Long Beach and although Anaheim is in sporadic communication they’re waiting for an appraisal of the stadium land to use as negotiation leverage.
  9. Also Washington. A fond memory from college was the LMU band splitting up and sprinting through downtown Spokane getting our supply of booze and mixers before the state-run liquor stores closed down at 7:30 PM (and the underage guy hiding behind my tall frame so he wouldn't be carded as part of our group).
  10. You should see California then. We have at least two different chains of supermarket-sized "beverage" stores in my area.
  11. There's something about this that just screams loophole to the lease. If Tampa Bay wasn't viable you wouldn't still keep a foot there... you'd bail.
  12. I guess the Civil ConFLiCT trophy will just stay on the field then. This is a weird move with the Big East though. Granted, there’s the whole history thing but UConn is going to be a pretty obvious outlier in what’s become the Catholic Premier League.
  13. Grand Canyon actually changed to non-profit status. That said, I wouldn't mind the WCC snatching up Seattle (and even GCU) just to put the WAC finally out of its misery.
  14. Hopefully it’s working now. Otherwise there’s nothing else we can do on our end.
  15. A potential solution: members are not permitted to upload profile pictures directly to the forum. It may work if you host it yourself and upload the url. So, use this option:

  17. It's all about the TV contract. The issue again is that he's only sticking his toe in enough to get the media rights money without actually committing to either the region the stadium is in nor the region they're named after. They're the only Big 4 franchise that won't sell a shirt with a city/state/region on it. That's pretty pathetic.
  18. I'm assuming this is rhetorical but if not, city officials wanted some PR thrown in with their check to Mickey Mouse, Inc. to tear down the Rams seats and add in extra rocks from the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. And Anaheim definitely isn't Long Beach. I'll also throw this in... I had an ex about 10 years ago from Costa Mesa. Her first time in my area (Torrance/Redondo Beach) she made the comment that it looked exactly like Orange County despite being 30 miles and a county line over. Adds some argument to the argument that it's o
  19. The issue is that they don’t own it. You go to their stadium and the words “Los Angeles” are nowhere to be found or heard. The box score just had the Å instead of LAA, there’s no merchandise with Los Angeles, etc. as far as the team’s concerned they only market as “Angels Baseball” without having any sort of connection to Los Angeles or even Anaheim at this stage other than having Ducks or college nights for UCI, LBSU, or CSUF.
  20. Two moderators had no issues with the avatars/profile pictures so it’s possible this is a cookie/browser issue.
