  1. I'm not sure a thicker outline would have been enough, especially with that font. They should have made the whole number (and wordmark) the gradient.
  2. That roundel has absolutely horrid readability.
  3. Next we'll find out that "Lee Hutton" never actually existed.
  4. I liked the 16 game schedule just for how neat and orderly it made scheduling, post 2002 realignment.
  5. Mexico City is 7,350 ft above sea level, and they've actually hosted NFL games!
  6. SkyRay Bridge logo: A Skateboarding Ray logo: A Hat: A Jersey: F They got so much right, but totally biffed it on the jersey. Black wordmark and numbers on a black jersey is always terrible. The illegibility of the wordmark is made even worse by the flames. I get what they were trying to do, but those look like hot rod flames. It just doesn't work. And the whole sun-bleached Nike-speak is just ridiculous.
  7. To be fair, ND's receivers were incredibly average this past year, and no tight end stepped up to fill Mayer's role. They were also a very run-focused offense. Which maybe speaks to their lack of confidence in the passing game I suppose. I don't see him as a threat to Daniels, but Cousins wasn't supposed to be a threat to RG3 either. Then the injuries happened. We'll see if they did enough to fix their horrid offensive line so they can actually protect Daniels.
  8. Does this mean that SMU finally gets to play their 87 and 88 seasons?
  9. So Washington takes Daniels at #2 to be their new franchise QB, but they also sign Hartman as an undrafted FA. Obviously not the same as drafting a second QB in the 3rd round, but this is feeling a little too much like 2012. I honestly don't even understand how Hartman went undrafted, and I don't understand how the NFL grades quarterbacks anymore. Ten to fifteen years ago, I feel like he's exactly the style of QB teams looked for, and he would have been a 3rd or 4th rounder. But the position has changed so much that now teams are trading up to #10 to draft J.J. Fing McCarthy, on the off chance he has even a fraction of Mahomes' talent (He doesn't).
  10. Flip Bradshaw and Montana. Bradshaw definitely would have worn a cowboy hat.
  11. I forgot just how stacked that offense was. Three receivers that would have been the number one receiver at any other school, and possibly the best QB they've ever had. I think you're overthinking it. He remained loyal and still got drafted in the first round. If anything, it's a good sign for when it's time to negotiate contracts. A guy whose loyalty to his team and coaches took priority over getting paid? That's incredibly rare these days. I wish the rest of Toledo's star players were as loyal as him. They've been hit hard by the transfer portal. I'm not even sure that it's possible, but he is really on the fast track to becoming a worse owner than Dan Snyder. My condolences to Carolina fans.
  12. He played against Notre Dame in 2021 and Ohio State in 2022. Against Notre Dame he had one of his best games of his college career. I was at the game, but I'm no scout so I can't say that I have any real insight. The Ohio State game on the other hand, he didn't look so great. But very few people look great against Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka. I'd still say he's a very good CB, but I'm honestly surprised he was the first CB taken.
  13. The only real criticism people seemed to have with the Texans' soon-to-be previous uniforms was that they were "boring" and "generic". So the Texans' response is to make their new home uniform even more boring and generic... but with worse numbers. Fantastic.
  14. Their what now? If you consider the new uniforms to be garbage he's not exactly wrong to use that spelling.
  15. The sock stripes take the home uniform from A to A+. And the blue pants obviously look so much better with the stripes.
  16. We can always rely on the Raiders to look like the Raiders. And maybe the Chiefs. The rest of the league is fed.
  17. How are the Bills a likely candidate for new uniforms? They have a very solid look that the team and fans seem very happy with. Washington isn't just a candidate, they are 100% getting new uniforms, and probably a new name (again). The Eagles won't change their uniforms while Jeffrey Lurie owns the team, no matter how much everybody wants them to change.
  18. Technically the Jaguars' pants are not plain. They have those dumb stripes at the back of the knee. But they often get lost in the socks.
  19. I still don't understand what that has to do with purple, or the Mets. I wanted Cleveland to go with Spiders as well, and even made a concept. The only new color schemes I remember gaining any traction were Brown/Red and Black/Red. And the original Spiders wore black. So the lament that Cleveland didn't go with purple seems out of left field to me. Anyway, the Mets look meh. Of course the only real prominent use of purple is for the swoosh because Nike gonna Nike.
  20. What the are you talking about? What does Cleveland have to do with this?
  21. Damn, a player actually criticized a new uniform? I didn't think they were allowed to say anything other than "fire", "clean", or "dope".
  22. There's no way that's an authentic helmet. The finish looks like store-bought spray paint; there's a giant chip in the back ridge of the helmet; the real logo decal does not have rounded corners like that around the mane; and the blue of the logo and stripe don't match each other, nor the helmet. This is clearly someone's concept, based on the jersey leak.
  23. So the blue jersey doesn't have a wordmark, but the white and black do? Dammit Lions, you were so close. But hey, at least they still have shoulder numbers.
  24. Nah, the jets will wear black, and the browns will wear their brown pants, just to spite us.
