  1. Seems like the Maulers are gonna be playing in Canton, whether as a hub city or as their actual home (and identifier).
  2. If this IS indeed the final roster of teams, wouldn't it make more sense to do a North/South division alignment? SOUTH NORTH Arlington Canton Birmingham DC Houston Michigan Memphis New Jersey New Orleans Philadelphia San Antonio St. Louis Probably be better (schedulingwise) to do a 3-Division format: WEST CENTRAL EAST Arlington Birmingham Canton Houston Memphis DC New Orleans Michigan New Jersey San Antonio St. Louis Philadelphia One thing I do hope the USFL does, if indeed, they are calling the shots, is change the Renegades back to "Dallas".
  3. "FC: We are a Football Club in Major League Soccer"
  4. Cutting Orlando is a mistake. Yeah they had a bad team last year, but Orlando has traditionally been one of the top spring league markets. And considering most of the USFL don't even HAVE actual home markets, it boggles my mind they would drop Orlando. But as I and others replied to that tweet on TwiX, there have been so many changes from "multiple sources" throughout this whole thing, from 12 teams to 16 to an even split to maybe only 8 to those without home stadiums, ie, hub cities would be dropped to doing only hub cities and now to this, that I'm not buying of these new details until the league(s) come out and say what's what for themselves.
  5. I haven't watched any of the postseason, but this doesn't surprise me. He's become just awful. He used to be one of the guys you respected. Now, especially since he became a crew chief, I guess, he's not only made so many bad calls, but his arrogance and ego has just been out of control. He was the crew chief in the spring training game when Randy Rosenberg ejected JT Realmuto for Rosenberg dropping the ball (literally). He defended the ejection.
  6. Future home of XF, er, NSF, er, UFL(?) New York.
  7. I would assume the Nats winning the World Series the first year after Harper went to Philly would've sufficed any lingering feelings of wanting him to fail at winning a World Series, himself.
  8. Are you referring to the former National Gridiron League, which rebranded as the UFL only to later be found out to be a scam?
  9. You'd be surprised how many people on TwiX think that the merger means the XFL failed and the USFL was wildly popular and successful and, thus, the hub city model works.
  10. It would actually probably most likely be the Gamblers in Houston and trashing/"relocating" the Roughnecks and Vipers, maybe even under different names in different cities.
  11. I actually don't think they have a stadium in Houston locked down. It's believed, and maybe agreed to in principal that they'd play at Rice, but I haven't seen anything official. If they go hubs it may make more sense to put them in like San Antonio for now until they go away from hubs and TDECU is available again. I don't think they'd have 3 Texas hubs anyway.
  12. X doesn't actually stand for "Xtreme". It literally stands for nothing. It's like the S in Harry S. Truman. It's just an X.
  13. No way in hell the Battlehawks aren't playing in St. Louis, either as a single-home team or as a hub city.
  14. Players Union would never allow it.
  15. They're not going back to single-game Wild Card rounds. The more games, the more revenue.
  16. Why? This is literally the first time this has ever happened.
  17. Honestly, the NFL seems like a league that could get by with one London team. They only play once a week, so it's not like they'd be traveling every day or as frequently as other leagues would. Schedule them in 3 week increments: 3 home or road, then 3 of the other, alternating (one would have the bye week) through the 18-week season.
  18. I looked it up and it says Saudi Arabia is in AFC.
  19. Actually it's the more accurate shade. Google "Arizona Turquoise".
  20. It's literally NOT Irish Spring green. Their current turquoise (pms 319) is 1 point below the Marlins original teal (pms 320). Their original turquoise was pms 323, which is closer to the greens on the pantone color chart. 319 is on the bluer side of teals/turquoises. And just for good measure...
  21. Yeah that looks too green, giving off the 90s Bucks vibe. They used pantone 323, a darker teal.
  22. Yeah, that looks like the Gamblers logo went through the garbage disposal. No offense.
