Regarding Illinois, nah, I'll leave it to you! I'm torn on the AZ plates. I like the new design, but it definitely feels spartan. The AZ Highways magazine plate is one of my favorites, and it really adds something to the experience of being out in the valley. I quickly photoshopped a different blend of colors that I feel like works a bit better, IMHO.

I’ll take the $28M in cap space next season, but yeah, join the chorus of other dumbass takes.

1. The Bears weren't going to contend in 2022. Mack doesn't give them anything of use. 2. Poles inherited Pace's roster and a fairly sparse cupboard of draft capital. 3. Mack's on the wrong side of 30, is coming off of foot surgery, and hasn't been himself since the 2018 season. 4. This will open up a ton of cap. The Chargers are taking on the entirety of Mack's contract. That extra $28M in 2023 will be of great benefit. I don't think it's a sexy move, but it's practical, and one I would expect of a new GM inheriting a bad situation.

That Alaska plate is amazing. I want to see all of 'em. Please improve the Illinois plates.

1. I personally don't care how GMs circumnavigate contracts, cheat deadlines, and otherwise deftly navigate red tape. I don't consider any of that cheating. If the Packers bend the rules to the extent that it gets Rodgers and Adams to re-up, so be it. If the Bears were a better team, they could pull this crap off, too. 2. Aaron Rodgers is a playoffs loser, so if they want to pay him that much to lose in the playoffs, that's fine by me. He's a Hall of Famer, one of the best to ever play, yata-yata, blah blah blah. 3. The Bears aren't going to be good regardless, so what's another 4 years of being owned?

STAHLEY CUP It's fine. They're going for the whole "we're grown ups and sports are serious" crap that has been too heavy for too long across the big four. Whatever.

There's a lot of artsy ways to tear down this logo and branding, but it's not worth it. This whole thing blows.

I think it looks good. It's not reinventing the wheel, but it doesn't need to. Some of you just like to piss and moan about stuff.

It's a logos and sports design forum. The whole backbone of the animal is criticism. That TNF Amazon logo is objectively half-assed.

Lovie Smith was a good coach for the Bears for the bulk of his tenure. His faults were in wanting more personnel control which led to crappier defenses, and the offense was being constantly f'd with due to a woeful combination of underperforming quarterbacks and bad offensive coordinators. The locker room under him was pretty much pristine. Players love him, almost to a fault. I can't speak for how things went for him in Tampa, but the University of Illinois tenure was weird under Lovie, which surprised me. I thought he'd do well in Champaign, but the recruiting never developed and I don't think he ever commanded guys that young the same way he did in the NFL. It'd be cool to have him join the NFL again for one more go as Head Coach.

Gotta hope they don't sully the waters with some gimmicky alternate sweater. They've still yet to release their mascot (which I'm hoping is an old-timey scuba diver). That said, the crowning achievement of the franchise so far has been their branding/uniforms. I have some faith they'll keep nailing that part while the actual hockey aspect grows.

I'll pass on any Bears white helmet. I'll play ball on the canvas pants, maybe.

God, this rebrand and identity sucks so much. The Guardians was at least divisive and clearly a bridge to something more later on. This is just like watching somebody fart so hard they crap their pants.
