Yes tbh. We’ve been playing baseball since 1869 and only four people have done it, with one (maybe two) being aided by banned substances. 700 is just an insane number. It’d take a special talent to break in at a young age, and stay relatively injury free his whole career against rapidly improving pitching, which isn’t impossible but highly unlikely.

Boise State loses by 17 to UTEP. Looks like their run is officially done now, which makes me honestly pretty sad.

Air Force has a really underrated set. I prefer the more grey-heavy looks, but every combo is easy on the eyes.

I find Zach Hample’s existence hilarious. A grown ass man who’s main goal in life is catching as many rogue baseballs as possible is a 1-of-1 life. I have no doubts he’s a d-bag, but this is all he has.

I miss when helmets could basically be used in place of logos for teams in graphics in such, but when teams change them up every game that goes away completely. When I was younger, my cousin had a collection of mini-helmets for all cfb that I thought was so cool, and I wish something like that was still doable nowadays. Although, there have been some really good alternates over the years, so I’m willing to allow one game a year to go crazy.

Being a fan of both has done wonders for my heartbreak tolerance. Once you watch a late 25-point lead in the Super Bowl disappear, anything else is like a 4 at best on the pain scale. Unfortunately, Nebraska is better at one-upping itself with just how low the bottom gets. But after losing at home to a very bad Georgia Southern, 49-14 to Oklahoma feels like nothing. -
ESPN shoved the game their flagship program was at and also had the finish of the year on ESPN+. I don’t get it.

The assistant AD said this week that it’s not going to be Urban, but a sizable chunk of the fanbase is convinced he’s the only guy who can get it done. This is gonna be a long three months.

There’s no real consensus, I don’t think most fans care too much about the pants as long as the jerseys and helmets stay pat.

I watched an older gentleman try to explain to his wife over the phone that the game was not on a channel but was in fact on the computer. It went about as well as you’d think.

They did striped pants for Oklahoma last year, with grey facemasks to honor the game of the century. This could be that, but red facemasks signal this as a more permanent change. Especially since Frost played with stripeless pants, and Mickey played with stripes.

The more I sit with it the more I’m in awe at how much the Chargers nailed their new brand. Their standard sets are pretty much flawless, which is more than any Nike overhaul can say. The Vikings have that weird number thing, the Browns and Bucs had to be bullied into turning back the clock, and the Bengals whiffed on the pants. But the Chargers, aside from the alts, no notes. I prefer yellow pants, but white is still a 10/10 uniform.

I actually think the conditions helped the Bears/49ers game greatly. A game in that weather is bound to produce some epic photos, which I’m glad were shared between two of the best uniform sets in the league.
