  1. When I said I wanted shiny pants back, this isn’t what I meant
  2. Here’s this year’s HR Derby bracket. Surprised at no LA guys, but I can see this being a fun field.
  3. Yeah when the team has literally the hottest start in MLB since the 2001 Mariners (who ik didn’t win the title but still) being a doomer after the first sign of them slightly coming to Earth kinda pisses me off. They’re 62-26 right now, no matter what happens the rest of the regular season that’s a special team.
  4. The Yanks are still 14 up in the division with the Astros being the inly team in the same realm record wise in the AL. Yeah they’ve cooled off this recently but this is literally their first “slump” of the year, which is still 5-5 in last 10, plus the Al-Star break is coming right up. The Astros are still the only team that scares me, not worried about much else.
  5. https://imgur.com/EVgNk72 Baylor won 2021 March Madness in anthracite. Sorry for the link, but images for whatever reason don't upload for me.
  6. Don’t totally hate that, could see it being fun with the red look once a year. Was really worried the facemasks were red in the first picture I saw, so I’m stoked their keeping it blue.
  7. That report originally comes from a swimming reporter, so I’m quite dubious of it.
  8. Having big time teams in random pockets of the country made cfb fun and now you have to be in a big TV market to get anywhere.
  9. Heard rumbles of TCU, Oregon, Stanford, and Kansas capping the conference to 20.
  10. Agreed but I don’t see a reversal of the current trend until 10 years down the line at least and even then it’s a stretch. Fans of teams in the new division are just gonna be happy they’re not left out, especially if some traditional rivals are stuck in the lower league I could see mocking triumphing over any desire to play again. Though if this :censored:s up basketball all my interest in that sport goes away. A College Basketball Tournament without the possibility of a Saint Peter’s is not worth watching.
  11. ACC contract being locked until 2036 might prevent some teams from jumping ship. 2023 may well be the last season we see where conferences have unique personalities. Cherish it.
  12. It was clear that two superconferences was the endgame, but even I didn’t see it happening this way THIS quick
  13. ACC becomes first P5 to officially nix divisions
  14. DONT DOUBT THESE YANKS!!!! WE BUILT DIFFERENT THIS YEAR
  15. I miss Toledo’s under armour uniforms. They’ve gone way downhill after the Nike switch.
  16. It’s a great look for NW, if any team should rock the Northwestern stripe it’s Northwestern but I’ll really miss the chest stripe look. It was so unique and done so well.
  17. I really hope this is just a new number font. Northwestern has one of the best modern looks in all cfb and I’d hate to see it go.
  18. I’ve seen speculation that a full purple rebrand will come in 23-24 and they’ll never wear the yellows again. Is that even possible logistically?
  19. The cap ruins what’s otherwise my favorite City uniform besides Miami.
  20. Yeah this is the least interested I’ve been in the Finals in a loooooong time. At least LeBron losing made the salty Heat fan in me happy. If the Warriors win, great Boston and all that, but I’m like 5% happy for them and 95% glad Boston lost which doesn’t slap the same.
  21. Social media reaction overwhelmingly negative, the content the crowd at the Athletic wants is more off the beaten path of traditional stick-to-sports journalism. I personally liked the freedom it awarded its writers both on and off the platform, it helped it feel like it’s own thing in sports journalism that wasn’t afraid of sticking out and showing personality. Now I feel the NYT wants to strip them of that freedom and run them into a traditional online newspaper which is not at all where the company works best. Wouldn’t surprise me if some of their better writers leave because of this either.
