  1. No QB has ever done National Championship/Heisman/Super Bowl and Burrow has the chance to do it all in three years. The only player to do it proper…the first and last defensive player to win the Heisman, Charles Woodson.
  2. I like the vintage feel of the old font more, but I love the helmet stripe and buckeye leave additions.
  3. Plenty of people off these boards have mentioned actually getting used to/liking the Washington Football Team identity, and all of them dislike the new name/uniforms.
  4. The more I sit with this the more this becomes my least favorite set in the NFL. At least when the Titans wear light blue pants, Falcons don’t go monochrome and the Jaguars emphasize teal, the colors make the sets tolerable and I still like all their helmet logos. This only has 1 combo I can tolerate (Burgundy/White/Burgundy, unless gold pants are actually a tangible thing), a helmet with a crappy logo with a terrifying alternative option and pants and socks with the least personality in the NFL.
  5. Given how often the Jets do it, I’d be shocked if they didn’t.
  6. Doesn’t work like that. 49ers wanted to wear white throwbacks for SB LIV but were shut down despite wearing red until that point. No exemption, no white.
  7. Probably the same reason they stopped changing the logo every game. “Professional” looking things always trump fun.
  8. First impressions I’m going Rams. That LA d-line against that OL is food and I have a lot of misplaced confidence in Matthew Stafford.
  9. As I kid, I was always confused as to why he was making that gesture, so the #1 reads quicker in that regard, but after seeing the old illustration for so long this just looks wrong.
  10. As a Falcons fan all I gotta say is THANK GOD! I will not miss him at all. Good riddance. Tho props to him for going out on his own terms and sparing us an insufferable season-long farewell tour.
  11. The thing I like most about the team uniforms is that it creates a time capsule of what the NBA looked like at a certain time. The different jerseys every year gives us a time capsule of what the design trends of a certain time are, so I appreciate it in that regard, but I prefer the former. With the game being unconferenced now, there really is no advantage to changing the jerseys every year as the one fun constant design element between the years of Red vs. Blue is now gone. Plus, with teammates being on different teams now it'd be really fun to see them playing against each other in their team's light vs. dark jerseys.
  12. Twitter has shown a turning tide in favor of returning to the old team uniform style. About time popular Twitter opinion got it right, hopefully it leads to a switch back.
  13. Should probably start this thread off with actual news. Looks like the Axiom helmet will be making the rounds at more schools this season.
  14. The ability to win games you have no business winning is an invaluable part of football. The 49ers have that in spades this year.
  15. The Falcons fan in me was hoping for a Bucs win just so we wouldn’t be alone anymore
  16. Only 10 points? That Packers offense could have used a shot in the arm
  17. I was rooting for a tie as much as anyone, but I get the Raiders going for the win, better seeding was still in play.
  18. It looks like there’s a hidden “N” in the new W logo.
  19. Urban Meyer giving Petrino a run for his money for worst NFL coaching tenure ever. :censored:, he might actually have it won.
  20. I’m just so used to MACtion being the Ohio/Michigan schools and ol’ Buffalo that adding new teams into the mix wouldn’t feel right. Ticky-tack I know, but I love the MAC as constructed for making my weeknights better for years, and Akron/MTSU wouldn’t slap the way Akron/Ball State does. I know it’d be a smart move for the conference and it’s only two new things but nostalgia’s a hell of a drug.
