  1. What they should've done was move the logos and abbreviations over to the right a bit. That would've eliminate some of the negative space. The left side of the logos are cut off a bit by the borders and there's no reason for that.
  2. There is also a lot of negative space between the abbreviation and the score, even more so than the previous score bug. Not a fan of that.
  3. Super Bowl LIX logo Prediction: Based on the Super Bowl Committee logo and color scheme, I'm going to guess that LIX will consist of shades of blue and gold. The NFL should still be on the backdrop inside of numerals theme, so I can assume that it will include a combination of French architecture and/or a street lamp.
  4. Is there any explanation as to why the 49ers are making their endzone script for this year's Super Bowl red instead of the full-gold one they did for LIV?
  5. I'm not sure how I feel about that new look for Billings. The main primary logo has a little too much going with the insertion of the buttes and mountains into the design of the horse. The multiple outlines and shadows also add too much. The new look does have some solid secondary logos that could actually be used as a better base for the primary. Overall, it's just rather clunky... kind of like that Tahoe Knight Monsters set. I'll miss the old logo. Although it was just a roundel, it had a simple yet nice design which could've stood the test of time.
  6. I mean, teams such as the Bears are navy and orange... but it's not like they have orange numbers or pants. Sometimes just having the second color present in the helmet logo, striping, or number outlines can be enough. Although, it also depends on the particular team's uniform elements and how much of it allows them to use the secondary color.
  7. The Diamondbacks' caps look awfully powder blue. On-field lighting will be the true dictator, but I'm thinking they should've went with a darker turquoise in any case.
  8. I like that it's a repeat of LIV because it prevents the excessive use of red. For contrasting purposes, it's better to have the 49ers primarily gold and the Chiefs primarily red.
  9. The only issue I can see with Taylor Swift involves what's posted on social media, so that's an easy issue to fix. Outside of that, she has only appeared during Chiefs games (which I don't even watch anyway) and yeah, it doesn't seem like it's that much coverage from what I hear. Somewhat related note, I partly expect Kelce to propose to her at the trophy presentation if they end up winning.
  10. I hope this ownership group is at least willing to spend a little more. We'll see.
  11. I appreciate it! This was my first try at the pick'em and it went far better than I expected. I don't know if I'll do it again or not though. Picking against teams that I wanted to win, just so I could get my picks right, kinda took some of the fun out of the season. I guess I'll see what the mood is in seven months.
  12. It was still a great season for Detroit. I hope they can keep on competing into next year.
  13. He's definitely the most important player on his team and keeps them going (and I wouldn't be against him winning the MVP). But I've said it before... he's a terrible passer. If you want to be a Super Bowl winning quarterback, you have to be able to effectively pass the ball on a consistent basis and he just can't see to do it. Also relies too much on his athleticism. Props to Kansas City's defense, but this has been the issue with Lamar Jackson for years, outside of his occasional season-ending injuries.
  14. Marlins updates look good. I still think their whole look could be improved upon, but they made upgradable moves. I'm beyond disappointed by the Nationals. An uninspiring road script, plus an alternate that looks more like a polo shirt than what's supposed to be a pullover... what a mess of an identity they have now. As critical as I was of their 2011 set, at least that brand was largely consistent with all its elements. I already miss it.
  15. The Bucks likely just cemented themselves in Conference Semifinals purgatory.
  16. Kansas City vs. Baltimore Detroit vs. San Francisco
  17. If Brady is expected to take over next season, wouldn't that mean he gets to do next year's Super Bowl in his first try? I don't know why it will be on FOX again after they just hosted it last year. I would've expected next year to be NBC, but I guess they've been tweaking the network rotation.
  18. Yes, there wasn't anything I liked about the Jets' 2019 update outside of the brighter green. The logo change felt lateral to me, though the previous oval logo did have too much going on with the Jets script, Times New Roman NY in the back, and the small football, so I would argue it might've been an upgrade from that. I've said it before, but I hate the striping more than anything. The idea, at least on paper, looked like it was intended to have them completely straight, but it's ruined when the players are moving around with them. The way the striping just bends and curves makes it look so awkward. They would've been better using standard striping that goes from top to bottom, or maybe just omitting them altogether.
  19. Houston vs. Baltimore Green Bay vs. San Francisco Tampa Bay vs. Detroit Kansas City vs. Buffalo
  20. Well, maybe I learned something new idk. The Lions' first playoff win in over thirty years... against their former franchise QB. A very fitting way to end that drought.
  21. If I've learned anything, it's to never bet on the team associated with heartbreak. It just ends in more heartbreak.
  22. The injuries the Browns had during the season were so crucial that they were bound to catch up to them at some point. The fact that they even got to the playoffs is crazy. I know he's a rookie, but Stroud might already be a Top 5 quarterback. Holy hell.
  23. So I'm guess they're scrapping red for purple, based on the pics? I don't know any other car company that uses purple, so it at least creates distinction. The H feels somewhat weak on its own. I don't know how that will translate to the vehicles themselves so I may just have to wait and see.
