  1. And not only is Vegas getting the A's but everyone seems content with the Aviators remaining there as well. The area is home to only 2.5 million people, they have NHL, NFL, WNBA, and now MLB. In what world do they need a Triple-A team?? The Aviators play 20 minutes (11 miles) from the property the A's just purchased, I mean c'mon it's just unnecessary.
  2. And the owners could vote no on allowing the relocation but that won't happen.
  3. Sacramento would have been a great move. The A's were the Sacramento River Cats' major league affiliate for their first 15 years of existence, the fan base was probably already there if they wanted to move. But then the A's moved affiliates to Nashville (and now Las Vegas) and let the Giants (who were in Fresno the previous 17 years) take over the River Cats.
  4. YOOOOO WTFFFF All this for some basic ass uniforms, that source from Reddit had us all fooled
  5. Too bad for them that Kris Bryant (he's not good anymore anyway) and Bryce Harper are already locked for this entire decade. They'll have to settle for Joey Gallo.
  6. I don't know if he'll get into the HOF, he doesn't really have the regular season stats. He'll definitely get his number retired by the Giants though.
  7. MLB really did Fresno dirty with taking away their Triple-A team after the MiLB reshuffling. The fans went from watching future stars (all of the World Series Giants and a lot of the World Series Astros) to Low-A scrubs in an empty 10,000 stadium. To stop Fresno from suing them MLB guaranteed a MiLB through 2030 but did not guarantee a future Triple-A team, only saying they'd recommend Fresno as a Triple-A option in the future but that's it. I also don't see how Vegas can (or why they should) support a Triple-A team and an MLB team.
  8. Why give Quebec City a team when you can give Phoenix a second team! It's the better business decision, it just is!
  9. Yeah why keep that? You're Under Armour's alma mater but you reuse past years throwbacks for your full time uniforms?
  10. That’s exactly what I thought FSU should always do with their uniforms but now that they’ve done it they kinda look a little boring. Maybe it’s cuz the pattern doesn’t cover the whole collar
  11. The Salt Lake Bee's play on Sundays and they have a top 20 attendance in MiLB. Utah's athletics also have no problem playing on Sundays. I don't think playing on Sunday would be that big of an issue.
  12. The top two items on this new Commanders owner checklist should be: 1) Rebrand 2) RFK
  13. I think its a case by case basis. Teams that are currently relocation candidates: Athletics (A's): Definitely a name that can and should stay with it's team, its already been done twice. Would work in Las Vegas or Portland or any other city. Rays: Don't think this name would work anywhere else. Yeah it supposed to be "rays of sunshine" but everyone still thinks of it as the fish which just fits Tampa perfectly. Definitely wouldn't work in Nashville, Charlotte, or Montreal. Coyotes: It could work in Houston I guess but who's going to want to hold onto the legacy of the Coyotes in their new city. Wouldn't work in Quebec City. Some teams that have relocated: Raiders: Its the Raiders, no brainer. Chargers: Still close enough to SD to appeal to old fans, some history in LA, and the beautiful uniforms. Good decision. Rams: History in LA, another no brainer. Thrashers/Jets: Previous history of Winnipeg Jets, no brainer. Thrashers was an awful name to begin with. Sonics/Thunder: Good decision after stealing the team from Seattle. Wouldn't of worked well in OKC anyway. Grizzlies: Should of changed the name, makes no sense in Memphis. Jazz/Hornets/Bobcats: Utah keeping the Jazz name messed all this up and it doesn't fit at all in Utah. New Orleans could of become the Jazz again when the Hornets moved there and then there wouldn't have ever been the Bobcats. Pelicans is a fine name though. Oilers/Titans: Fine with changing to Titans but Houston should have been allowed to use Oilers again.
  14. The Lakers also retired Pau Gasol's 16 this year And on the other end of the arena, the Kings retired Dustin Brown's 23
  15. Some renderings for a potential stadium in Salt Lake City were released as well..
  16. Add Salt Lake City to the list of possible expansion/relocation cities (Las Vegas, Portland, Nashville, Montreal).
  17. Just wear the Barkley throwbacks, it's not that hard Phoenix
  18. Why do they have to be so ridiculously sized. Not even regular patches are that large right?
  19. Hot take here... Nike does it better
  20. I feel like that color combo is overplayed now with the Liberty and Gotham FC. I like the Nets in black and white but if they HAD to add an accent color I still think Dodger blue would be the best.
