  1. And now it’s alleged that rookie Mac Jones grasped the Patriots offense so well that he was teaching Cam Newton the playbook. If this is true, its no wonder why Newton got cut.
  2. And the very thing the PAC 12/Big 14/ACC Alliance of American College Football tried to prevent starts happening. Way to go Big 12, you’re actually going to pull through. I’m glad to see I was wrong about the alliance being some plan to carve up the Big 12. Shame it’s going to not be a power conference anymore, but it’ll certainly be better without Texas.
  3. Are the serious discussions on the part of the Big 8 or the schools themselves? The Big 8 can have all the discussions they want, but the schools they’re trying to woo hold all the cards.
  4. The last Super Bowl sucked for me but at least Brett Veach saw that display and decided that he isn’t going full Seahawks and letting Mahomes continue to get clobbered. I have to find a silver lining somewhere.
  5. Bills propose new 60,000 seat stadium that would potentially be ready by 2027 From the sounds of it, it sounds like they’re trying to do Lumen Field but WITH SNOW.
  6. Yeah, didn’t they basically try to make the UAB program “willingly disband” about a decade ago and the guy who made that decision was Bear Bryant’s son? I swear I’m not making that last part up either. EDIT: Here’s an interesting article about the allegations that Bear Bryant Jr. was responsible for initially trying to kill potential competition to Tuscaloosa in the cradle Article does make the argument that it probably wasn’t Bear Bryant Jr. but the fact that it was the son of Alabama’s (now probably 2nd) greatest coach didn’t help matters at all.
  7. So basically ESPN is lazy and didn’t follow up to ensure the school they were covering actually were who they said they were. Can’t bury this correction on Page 25, though. EDIT: Seriously, why am I getting South Harmon Institute of Technology vibes from this jobber school?
  8. Miami Dolphins favorite to trade for embattled Texans QB Deshaun Watson Aqua and Orange is the new Black.
  9. If you have a great quarterback you wouldn’t trade him. This is why you don’t hire accountants to be GMs. CFO, sure, but not someone who is trying to build a roster. Numbers and bottom lines alone do not a championship team make.
  10. So, how long before the inevitable gets announced and they take the ice as the Houston Aeros next year?
  11. Baylor nor any other Big XII team is actually leaving yet. I just have my conspiracy theory that this new alliance of college football is also The Scramble For The Plains (and West Virginia).
  12. If the name ends up being the Presidents, would they just play “Hail to the Chief” after every touchdown?
  13. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/32078895/big-ten-acc-pac-12-officially-announce-alliance-stabilize-current-environment Yep, and here is the article to prove it. I really feel like the unspoken part of the alliance is “How are we going to carve up the Big XII?”
  14. Pretty sure if the Yotes are going anywhere, it’s Houston. I mean, it’s not like they just relocated to the perfect division in order to compete in Houston or anything.
  15. And that is why we are likely to have 18 games as soon as the CBA allows it for the 2025 season. This is just stupid.
  16. I didn’t even consider allergies, but you’re right. I prefer tailgating because 1. It’s tastier 2. It’s cheaper 3. You know where the hands of the person who is cooking your food has been 4. And, this. Just, no. Why would anyone eat inside the stadium?
  17. I honestly think there were a lot of people who bought Tebow jerseys just to say that they did knowing full well he wasn’t going to make the roster. Why they would, no idea, but a fool and his money are soon parted. Can’t be as stupid as people who would pay for stadium food anywhere, though. Always get the boozing and tailgating in before you go to the game and use the time at the game to sober up. Do it the proper way.
  18. Like, what was fun about working with the Atlanta Legends? What did you enjoy doing the most?
  19. Yeah, the quality on the field wasn’t anywhere near NFL level and the off the field situation was more of a black comedy than anything resembling a well-run organization. But I think it would at least be worthwhile to listen to someone who worked for an AAF team. I’d like to hear more about what it was like outside of the circus behind the scenes. Tell me more @CrimsonBull9584.
  20. Seriously, seeing an influx of people into our fandom saying that they’ve loved the Chiefs this whole time is funny. It was even funnier when they acted like they knew Kansas City was in Missouri this whole time and I’m here sitting thinking “You mother:censored:ing liar. How dare you lie to me so brazenly” Anyways I’ll watch
  21. Every time I see your profile pic, I crack up. Thanks, man!

      Lol thank you!

  22. These guys are entertainers. If they’re anything more than that, it’s a bonus. Attaching great significance to athletes and celebrities was a mistake and the Romans were right about actors. I enjoy sports, but keeping up barriers allows me to have my love intact.
  23. The worst Lamar Jackson did was have to take the Browns to the Super Bowl in Cleveland. The issue is rather he has to beat Patrick Mahomes to get to the Super Bowl and he has yet to do that. Hell, maybe getting past Josh Allen is asking too much. McNabb at least got the Eagles there.
  24. I don’t think the A’s could sell out the Mausoleum even if they gave each fan a bar of gold with their ticket. Really feels like they’re done with Oakland and the people have responded in kind. Pandemic or not, getting 3,000 fans to your game paints a picture that all the concept art for a stadium that will never be can’t. EDIT: Wait, they’re charging more? A’s ownership pictured:
