I agree it’s football weather. But unironically. I’m not stupid enough to sit there and freeze my ass off but 70,000 or so will be. I had to go back to my truck every other minute this morning when I was deicing it because my hands kept freezing up. I guess I’ll be dining on a Frozen Japanese delicacy tomorrow because the cold will probably make Miami's receivers ability hold onto the ball on par with Kadarius Toney in normal conditions.

If Pacheco is back, I see the Chiefs wearing Miami down with the running game and suffocating them with a defense that everyone else seems to be sleeping on. Eh, let them. If I’m in charge of a new league, I can’t afford to stubbornly stick to “tradition” because there isn’t any sort of tradition yet. Tabula rasa and all that. How does a league last long enough to make traditions? By getting the most eyeballs on my product. And how do I get the most eyeballs on my product? By having the best matchups possible. It’s great Arlington won, but, they never should have made it in the first place.

If the UFL was an established league with decades of history? Yeah, maybe they could get away with a playoff format straight out of the Expansion Era NHL. But they aren’t and if I’m a league like the UFL, I want the best matchups possible and even if it isn’t perfect, the most reliable way to get the best matchups is to have the teams with the best records to make the postseason.

I think this is one of those situations where the head of the league doesn't ever have to get a prostate exam as he's got a 24/7 view.

I'd like to see how this chopped and glued UFL does for a year before thinking about expansion. If this doesn't work, I don't see how spring football could ever be viable. I'd like to see it happen, however, "trust but verify" is the phrase that comes to mind.

All I know is that I underestimated just how important Eric Bieniemy was to the functioning of the Chiefs offense. The man instilled discipline and there's no way he would've accepted the absolute horsecrap I and every other Chiefs fan this year have seen. I also apparently overestimated Brett Veach's competence. The defense has been lights out and it's a real shame that such a unit is getting overshadowed by the circus that is the Chiefs offense. I want Bieniemy back. Maybe as a head coach. Andy is getting up there in age and he isn't getting down in waist circumference. Just saying.

Hey, I’ll take any Broncos loss whenever. Just hate that it took so dang long to clinch the division. Would be a hell of a Christmas gift. For me. For everyone else?
