  2. Pretty sure that’s supposed to be more like a witch doctor’s headdress. Still inaccurate, but not something that would rile enough people up to care.

  4. Pretty sure the 17 game season is only because Goodell sees lubing up the players for an 18 game season gradually works better than forcing it from the start. 2025 is the earliest that transition can take place and I don't doubt for a second that that is when it will happen.
  5. Yeah, the sleeveless look is terrible, but I liked the modernization of the font during the mid-2000s Royals era. I could've done without the heinous baseball being played then but that's another story entirely.
  6. At some point I kind of do. Losing 16 straight times to the same team has to be incredibly demoralizing. Then I remember John Elway and Peyton Manning and I realize that I shouldn't mourn for them like I don't mourn for the Pats and how fans of other teams won't mourn for the Chiefs when their run is over.
  7. Rivalries help grow sports. And the best way to get rivalries is to have constant high-stakes matchups. Championships are the fastest way to achieve this. Anyone who thinks rivalries are bad needs to grow a brain. Or another body part(s). Does Red Sox-Yankees annoy the crap out of me? Absolutely. But baseball would be a lot worse off without it.
  8. No, the Brncs are just that bad. Or they should add a “Property of Patrick Lavon Mahomes II” byline to their logo.
  9. Barstow Bats is the only appropriate name for such a team:
  10. Those narcissistic bungholes called the 50s the “Golden Age of Baseball” solely based on having 3 teams in New York being at the top of their game. They don’t ask the follow-up question of why 2 of them left, though. Anyone with a functioning brain that isn’t absorbed into an Empire State of Mind would know that the Golden Age of Baseball was from 1969-1993. Also New York is a dump. Went there three times between 2012-2017 and it just got worse with each visit.
  11. I’d rather have an all-Texas ALCS every year over a New York team ever being above .500 again. Now, there should’ve been an all-Missouri NLCS in the mid-2010s but the trust running the Royals back then said no and that’s why the Brewers are in the NL instead.
  12. Mike Judge was off by 485 years apparently. Because I’m laughing my butt off.

  14. It's also dealing with guys bigger, stronger, faster and more knowledgeable about the game on the field than the average college opponent too. It's one thing to be playing a school full of 5-star recruits. It's another playing against an NFL defense full of All-Americans and All-Stars. The mental part isn't too big of a deal compared to the sheer difference in skill.
  15. It's probably going to wind up being a very kneejerk take long-term, but right now I don't remember Mecole Hardman dropping four passes in a game. It's clear that a lot of the struggles are more adapting to the learning curve of the NFL than anything else, but right now, I'd love to have Hardman back. As to Aaron Rodgers, guy should've immunized his leg and maybe pay heed to these wise words from "Mr. Pfizer":
  16. Jets are looking to potentially trade Mecole Hardman. Chiefs need a wide receiver that’s consistent, Hardman knows the team, getting him back should be a no-brainer IMO.
  17. Denver vs. Kansas City Baltimore vs. Tennessee Washington vs. Atlanta Minnesota vs. Chicago Seattle vs. Cincinnati San Francisco vs. Cleveland Carolina vs. Miami Indianapolis vs. Jacksonville New Orleans vs. Houston New England vs. Las Vegas Arizona vs. LA Rams Philadelphia vs. NY Jets Detroit vs. Tampa Bay NY Giants vs. Buffalo Dallas vs. LA Chargers
  18. They go to Chicago on November 9th. Maybe then? Nah, who am I kidding, the Bears will maul them. Unrelated, but everytime I look at this: I wonder if I'm going crazy and thinking that the Jets are playing the Bucs this week?
  19. It's not just the unions MLB would have to worry about either. Let's say a powerful senator from Florida, Rick Scott probably, were to have an issue with MLB taking away a couple of teams from his state. Do you really think a guy like that wouldn't hit the "Revoke Anti-Trust" button the moment it came up? Or any other way of getting back at MLB for reasons that would violate forum rules if I elaborated?
  20. Salina has less than 50,000 people. Major league my ass.
  21. They’ll get sick of anything due to oversaturation. I’ll take having my team hated over being pitied, IMO.
  22. That and being the best team in the NFL for the last 5 years with the face of the league at quarterback. And Taylor Swift, yes. Even without Swift, they’ll be the A game most weeks for the next decade.
