  1. So from what I gather on Twitter, Altitude (the RSN in Colorado that airs the Avs and Nuggets) managed to get into a carriage issue trifecta with Comcast, DirecTV, and Dish, thus more or less opening up the possibility of there being no way of receiving the network for most of the Denver area. From what I understand they don't have it on any streaming platforms, either. That's gotta be a new one.
  2. Fox hasn't changed up the scorebug or bulk of its graphics yet but based on the wipes it looks like they've got something up their sleeve Week 1. And by something up their sleeve I mean still making Cleatus the Robot A Thing in the year of our lord 2020.
  3. Clarkson's not the only D-3 school in New York that's D-1 in one sport changing identities today, as Hobart's (and William and Smith) got a new look https://hwsathletics.com/news/2019/8/14/general-herons-statesmen-launch-new-brands.aspx OLD NEW
  4. FWIW, Sky kept their usual scorebug But yep, going to be interesting to see the BT window tomorrow morning, as well as the 10 am slot where there's the television blackout in England
  5. Scorebug looks like a hybrid of NBC's and Sky Sports' and I quite like it
  6. With the EPL starting this week, it's time to build ourselves up for another lack of a NBC graphics update we thought has been coming for almost 2 years now!
  7. Some big news breaking this morning as UConn might be on the verge of returning to the Big East while making football independent
  8. All good now, thanks for looking into it and getting it fixed!
  9. Hartwick and Oneonta are across the street to each other, to boot, so wild to think the 2 men's soccer exceptions were right on top of one another
  10. Anybody having an issue changing their profile photo? I've tried on Firefox, Chrome, and Safari and none of them are popping up with any option to upload when I hit the edit button, but then when I hit continue it allows me to crop the one I already have
  11. (though as I've said in the past, at least NBC's got a great graphics package to begin with so it makes the will-they-wont-they game more bearable. Now Turner's NBA graphics package, on the other hand...)
  12. Only issue is Hofstra's 10 minutes away from LIU-Post and are going to use the same colors, which... given that's going to become a big lacrosse rivalry is not gonna fly over too well. Heck, pretty much everything about this athletic department merger has been one big clusterfudge so
  13. Although they pulled this off with a (separate) Wednesday Night Hockey package going to commercial and still keeping everything intact, this looks like a really big revamp with everything but the scorebug. I have a feeling with the Stanley Cup Final starting the same weekend as their first Indy 500 and the Premier League season all wrapped up, NBC finally pulls the trigger on the rest of the set
  14. So I guess every Arizona city council meeting is like a 'Tom Goes to the Mayor' episode and not just Glendale's
  15. Also out of all the networks, CBS usually keeps that season's normal graphics. They changed it up in 2016 and 2013, but they had the status quo in 2010, 2007, and I believe 2004 as well
  16. Time to bring back SHAMELESS FIVE MINUTE DRAWING PLUGS Yes, the antennas are baseball bats. This is Brandoise we're talking about.
  17. With the exception of losing the F1 rights to ESPN last year, NBCSN's really become the spiritual successor to Speed Channel. They also landed the IMSA rights away from Fox/FS1, so the 24 Hours of Daytona will be on NBCSN later this month.
  18. Two chapters into The Down Goes Brown History of the NHL and I'm already calling it OITGDNHL: The Book
  19. Yep, the revitalization they've had since landing said SNF deal has really shown. Best of the NFL bunch, Premier League is probably the best coverage of a sport in US TV as DG alluded to, their NASCAR coverage is great, NHL is hit-or-miss but mainly good
  20. Other fascinating thing with NBC is how they went from THE home of sports in the mid-90s, having NFL/NBA/MLB plus Olympics, to having nothing but the Olympics and half a NASCAR package (with Turner picking up most of the production slack) in a span of 10 years. And yeah, that post kinda sums out how they got there, but that had to be the biggest stark contrast in sports properties. NBC Sports only really recovered when they got the SNF deal struck.
  21. Looks like the score graphic heading to commercial is the SNF style, so probably see more come Winter Classic time. Hey, it's a start given how NBC's dragged this out. Speaking of graphics that's been around forever, geez Sportsnet. Going on 5 years with this package that still looks like they've got nothing but regional games instead of the massive national broadcaster that they've become.
