As expected, Formula 1 rights are going to get a huge jump in money, as ESPN's going to renew for the next 3 years at about $75-$90M a year. A couple of ESPN+ exclusive races in there, but hopefully they stick to what works which is A) using the Sky Sports telecast and B ) keeping it commercial free

I know at this juncture it's a broken record, but no, NBC does not have new graphics for the start of their NASCAR coverage for the season

The application of the new Stanley Cup logo with the patches is sooooo good. Sewn on like that example earlier and it does a great job of having a big event feel without being too in the way

NBA still has local telecasts for the first two rounds, but you have your choice of national or local feeds with no local market blackouts. NHL only has local telecasts first round and then goes national exclusive 2nd round onward since the 2012 NBC contract, and as of about 3 or 4 years ago national broadcasts are no longer blacked out in the local market for the first round which has carried over to the ESPN/TNT deal. NFL and MLB are national exclusive the whole way through.

I don't know if Maryland can be stopped this year. Sure, they've somehow found ways to lose on Memorial Day plenty of times in Tillman's tenure, but they're simply the only great team in a year there isn't even a really good team, outside of Georgetown and February-mid April Princeton. They just do everything well in every area without any weakness and they've got way more depth than any of the other contenders. I suppose Virginia could give them a better game than they did in March if they play in the quarterfinals, but that's a huge if given their injuries and not looking anywhere close to the team we expected them to be since that Maryland loss. A semifinal against Yale or Princeton might be close, and a title game with Georgetown I think could have been more of a toss-up had it not been on two days rest as the Hoyas really only roll their 9 starters all game

Wish the scorebug matched the rest of the graphics a little bit more, but this is a really good synthesis of the 2015 NBC graphics and the 2018 SNF graphics. Very sharp
