  1. I appreciate that and I suppose you are right. I looked at some pictures and I think it’s the puck inside the C. The black stands out since the removed so much of it from the rest of the uniform. Just doesn’t work for me. I would prefer the alt uniform logo instead.
  2. I miss the foot, but I get why the change was made. I just don’t like the C. It’s too dark, thick, and bold for a shoulder patch. I do like the blue pants, but not the blue numbers on the white sweater. They just clash and stand out. I like the shade, but it feels out of place. I’d rather maroon numbers with blue outlines. Also add blue outlines to the white numbers on the maroon jersey.
  3. You may be right. It could be a soft launch toward a rebrand. I am fine with the logo as is, not much else you can do with an eagle, but I wouldn’t be opposed to something fresher.
  4. That’s true. The old mark was so squished.
  5. I wish they would have went further. It’s still just red and white with the halo A. I wish they would have went with the lower case A or something to mix it up.
  6. The Eagles word mark is perfectly safe and boring. I agree that it will feel out of place with the current number fonts and logos.
  7. Do the Sixers still use the blue roundel logo as their official primary? I only ever see the 76 with the stars. Like on their website and shorts. Either way, it should be showing on the site as part of their current logo set, even as an alternate shouldn’t it?
  8. The Coyotes wore their red alternates which were last year’s uniforms tonight against the Flyers. Such an interesting thing to have them still in use, completely different logo set and all. I liked that look overall and found it professional, if not a little boring. Not a big fan of the black sleeve panels, but they weren’t a deal breaker. But I get the desire to bring back the kachinas considering they never were able to grab a foothold other than those uniforms.

  10. Mike Schmidt wearing 37 instead of 20. It was immortalized on an 83 Donruss card. Credit to Frank McGuigan on twitter for posting the picture.
  11. Sorry if this was already posted, but Reggie White wore 91 with the Eagles when he first signed in 1985. He switched to his legendary 92 in 1986.
  12. The Clippers were awful to Joe Ingles (what a shocker). They released him from a preseason game as his wife was traveling from Australia to see him play. Preseason. I am am so glad Joe and the Jazz beat them in the playoffs.
  13. He was released today, so now even more so. Thank goodness he didn't make the big club, it would have been weird. But if it's the end, a sad way to go out for a legend for the Phillies. I am sure they'll welcome him home to the organization as soon as he wants to.
  14. You forgot Darren Daulton. Weird site as a Phillies fan. Speaking of notable Phillies on a weird Florida team, here is Pat Burrell as a Ray.
  15. Ryan Howard, Gwinnett Braves. Saw a caption on the news with him with photoshopped Braves A hat. Weird.
  16. Agreed. I am mortified at the idea of it in real life, but I wanted to test it and see what the results could look like.
  17. The other night Rob Manfred mentioned he was open to the possibility of east/west geographical realignment. I was thinking about how it would work. I assumed they would keep the 3 divisions in each league approach and no franchise relocations. Eastern League Northeast Division 1.) Toronto Blue Jays 2.) Boston Red Sox 3.) New York Yankees 4.) New York Mets 5.) Philadelphia Phillies Southeast Division 1.) Baltimore Orioles 2.) Washington Nationals 3.) Atlanta Braves 4) Miami Marlins 5.) Tampa Bay Rays Central Division 1.) Pittsburgh Pirates 2.) Cincinnati Reds 3.) Detroit Tigers 4.) Milwaukee Brewers 5.) Cleveland Indians Western League Midwest Division 1.) St. Louis Cardinals 2.) Kansas City Royals 3.) Minnesota Twins 4.) Chicago Cubs 5.) Chicago White Sox Southwest Division 1.) Texas Rangers 2.) Houston Astros 3.) Arizona Diamondbacks 4.) Colorado Rockies 5.) San Diego Padres Pacific Division 1.) Los Angeles Angels 2.) Los Angeles Dodgers 3.) San Francisco Giants 4.) Oakland A's 5.) Seattle Mariners The hardest part was sorting out all the Central/Midwest teams. Originally, I had the Chicago teams in the Central and it was called the Great Lakes division. I switched them with Detroit and Milwaukee since I couldn't justify Detroit, an eastern time zone team, in the WL. Plus, it protects the Cubs/Cards rivalry; protecting the major rivalries was key. I like the end result. The leagues feel balanced and each division is a 3/2 mix of teams currently in opposing leagues.
  18. The Kings/Canes and Nuggets/Suns ones are great examples for this thread. They feel like complete clash of eras. This is my favorite thread in the forum.
  19. As fugly as Tebow is to watch play (that throwing motion, ugh), the all white unis look good in the bright sunlight. The green really pops. This one proved true today. Even more interesting is that the Eagles only wear their white jerseys during the preseason, so Tebow never wore the green jersey in a game. That makes this even more of an atrocity:

  21. I'd say the Marlins since he won a World Series with them. For me I'll always remember him driving the Phillies crazy by stealing base after base. The Dodgers wouldn't really be wrong either, I guess.
  22. ^ I agree. I like the Illinois helmet and wish the Giants would go back to their old helmet. Like you, I can't quite put my finger on it, but I find these scripts strong and unique.
