This concept was started a few years ago here: http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/98132-vintage-style-lipscombcoloradohoward/ . And I just went back and cleaned it up. Let me know what you think of the updates.

Here is the image:

And a GIF for comparison:

You've improved everything that needed improvement. I love it :D

This is pretty well done. I don't think any of us around here would be opposed if you wanted to make a series out of this ;)

I've already posted these in their own threads, but I've done quite a few Neo-Vintage styled logos:

And already updated some:

Would this be a better look, a lateral move, or worse?

If you thin out the white keystroke to about half of what it is, you'd have a solid update.

I like the heavy black lines on the old one, but now they seem too thin. Any way to just swap fish 1 with the white outline in 2?

Here is the next update: the West Virginia Mountaineers:

So is this Re-Fresh an step up, step backward, or a lateral change?

Ren did that one in his Vintage Mascot Thread.

These are all ones that I've drawn up, they were never actually used by the teams. Thanks for checking in here though!

That's fine. I thought they were actual logos. My mistake.

No worries, that's a compliment.

Here's a Raccoon Mascot I cooked up yesterday.

Underused animal IMO. Would make a great mascot for the Nebraska Cornhuskers and fit right into the BIG10. Nothing husks more corn than a raccoon!
