Will you do the real Ducks, Knights etc. if their cities get chosen? Or all new identities for the post '93 teams?

Obviously Dallas will have to be new since we have the North Stars.

If Anaheim doesn't get in, I might stick the Mighty Ducks in a city where I might have trouble coming up with a brand for. If Orlando gets in, that's a possibility for obvious reasons. Another place could be Kansas City because that was where Walt Disney was raised and where the seeds of the Disney company were really planted.

If Dallas gets in, I'm leaning toward Brahmas as the team name, but if Dallas does get a team, I'm open to any other name ideas.

If Houston gets in, they'll be the Aeros. If Charlotte gets in, I'm leaning toward Checkers. If Indy gets in, I'm leaning toward Racers. If San Diego gets in, they'll be the Gulls.

Kansas City Mighty Ducks. Quite a mouthful.

Love the idea of San Diego Gulls.

Select four for the Smythe, four for the Norris and so on. You can shuffle teams to other divisions if necessary.

Expansion Round 1:

TO SMYTHE: Seattle, Denver

TO NORRIS: Dallas, Winnipeg (from Smythe)

TO ADAMS: Hamilton

TO PATRICK: Tampa Bay (from Norris)

Expansion Round 2:

TO SMYTHE: Phoenix

TO PATRICK: Miami/Ft. Lauderdale

Expansion Round 3:

TO NORRIS: Cincinnati

TO ADAMS: Atlanta

Expansion Round 4, rather not, but if you insist:

TO SMYTHE: San Diego, Portland

TO NORRIS: Milwaukee, Kansas City

TO ADAMS: Cleveland, again, you're killing me here, this doesn't work, screw it, Charlotte???

TO PATRICK: Baltimore, Norfolk I guess?

Alright, I'll jump in here.

The teams:

Anaheim, call 'em the Ducks, simple as that.

Seattle, Emeralds, Evergreens, or Sockeyes.

San Diego, Gulls.

Portland, I don't know, maybe use Evergreens or Lumberjacks?

Dallas, since Stars won't work, maybe Toros?

Houston, gotta be Aeros.

Denver, but make it something like Icecaps or Pinnacles, something better than Avalanche.

Nashville, I'd just use Predators.

Atlanta, but use something like Firebirds or Phoenixes.

Charlotte, Checkers.

Columbus, this wasn't one of your options, but I think it's better than the other two Ohio cities, and use Blue Jackets.

Baltimore, maybe Crabs or Mariners, something like that.

Hamilton, I'd say Tigers, but that wouldn't work, so maybe Bulldogs or something retro?

Kansas City, Scouts.

Norfolk, use Neptunes.

Miami, I got nothing.

Divisions:

Smythe:

Los Angeles

San Jose

Vancouver

Calgary

Edmonton

Denver

Anaheim

Seattle

Portland

San Diego

Norris:

Chicago

Dallas

Houston

Kansas City

St. Louis

Nashville

Minnesota

Detroit

Winnipeg (from Smythe)

Columbus

Adams:

Boston

Toronto (from Norris)

Buffalo

Hartford

Montreal

Ottawa

Quebec

Washington (from Patrick)

Baltimore

Hamilton

Patrick:

New Jersey

New York

New York

Philadelphia

Pittsburgh

Tampa Bay (from Norris)

Miami

Atlanta

Charlotte

Norfolk

Really? I've long felt that Cincinnati is the NHLiest of the three big Ohio cities. It's the kind of place where almost everyone there is from there. That's important for hockey fandom, I think.
